Weddings Photography

weddingYour wedding day is a celebration of friendship and love, of family history and dreams for the future. Your wedding photographs will form a storybook of memories that is your special day, a photo book of your friends and family and the special moments that were enjoyed by all. Your photographs will be your most tangible reminders of your wedding day and will be appreciated for generations to come.

Our philosophy is capture the real moments as they happen: the giggling flower-girls, the stolen glance between the bride and groom, the tears in the mother-of-the-bride’s eye during the vows, the slightly longer than usual first kiss, the emotion of the groom when he first call his bride his wife, the mischievous exchange between the groom and his best man…… We want to capture all the emotions and moments that make your day so beautiful, from the details that you’ve been planning for months to the spontaneous moments shared with loved ones. We plan for the expected and the unexpected and go with the flow.

Choosing a wedding photographer is a very personal experience and is probably one of the most important decisions you will make when planning your wedding day. Make sure to consider the following when selecting a professional wedding photographer:

  • Do you feel comfortable with your chosen photographer? You will be spending a lot of time together and you need to be comfortable with your photographer to ensure you get the best wedding portraits an enjoy the time taking them too.
  • Have they photographed many weddings before? Make sure to see a portfolio of more than just two or three weddings. Also make sure that you see a portfolio of an entire wedding (from start to finish) and not just their best images of the day.
  • Do you like their style of photography? Look at their wedding portfolios and imagine yourself in those photographs – do they represent who you are as a couple?
  • Have they photographed in many different circumstances – low lighting, harsh weather conditions, and destination weddings?
  • Do they use professional equipment and lenses?
  • Do they have back-up equipment?
  • Do they have a contract to protect both parties?
  • Are you clear on what the package entails? Have you discussed any extra charges for overtime, travel costs, extra images?
  • Most professional wedding photographers are booked up way in advance so plan to book your photographer at least year in advance if possible.
  • When you meet for the first time, do you feel comfortable in his/her company?
  • Has he/she photographed many weddings before?
  • Does he/she offer the style you feel suits what you are looking for?  A good tip is to look at the images and ask yourself “Can I imagine myself in these photos and does this style of photography represent who we are as a couple?”
  • Has he/she photographed in many different circumstances – tricky or harsh lighting, and various weather conditions?
  • Does he/she have back-up equipment?
  • Does he/she have a contract to protect both parties?
  • Ask the photographer to be clear on what your package includes – if there are additional costs for overtime or travel expenses.
  • Start looking for a photographer at least twelve to eighteen months before your wedding date.

As your photographer is portraying a visual story of your wedding day, it is often a good idea to let them select images that will go into your album – whether a traditional or a coffee-table album. Because you are so sentimental about your special day, it is extremely difficult to choose the best images and often causes huge delays that mean you end up getting your album months later.
We prefer to ask the bridal couple to select fifty images which they absolutely love and want in the album, allowing us to work around those images and selecting the rest. Remember that you will still have a disc of all your images from which you can make re-prints.

weddingIt is such an important day so it is imperative that the photographer you are going to spend the day with offers exactly what you would love. Successful professional photographers don’t come without a price, but they are worth their weight in gold. You are not only paying for someone creative and skilled to be part of your wedding day, you are also paying for the hours and often days of editing, image enhancing and layout of your wedding coffee table book or album.

We can’t help but feel honoured when people choose us as their preferred wedding photographers. Getting married is one of the biggest events in your life and you really want it to be a memorable occasion. Our team of photographers really understand this, as we are all hopeless romantics!!!

We make your wedding photos fun but also beautiful works of art that you can treasure forever more….

We wish you a wedding day that is filled with love and laughter and a lifetime filled with all your hearts desires….
