When taking photographs in studio (or anywhere for that matter) always remember to envision the final result.

With digital photography nowadays, photoshop or other image editing packages are your digital darkroom and allow you to create all kinds of funky, vibrant or unusual images.

Here are some photographs of children and toddlers (and even parents…) that were taken in studio and then digitally edited and enhanced to create unusual effects.

So if this is what you would like to do with the photograph, you have to bear this in mind before taking the actual photo. Things like colours o fthe clothes and or props, camera angles, the lighting – all these things must be taken into account beforehand….

Then again, this kind of photography is not for everyone – some call this lifestyle photography, but others would prefer more candid, natural looking photographs with natural lighting and very little image-editing and would also consider that lifestyle photography.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder….
