For some inexplicable reason woman can’t help but feel attracted to newborn babies. I believe this is what helps make our newborn baby photos so beautiful! They are little miracles with so much potential, a clean slate waiting to be filled wait adventures. Newborn babies

represent love in it’s purest form. Little C is exactly one week and a day old on the day she was photographed. And she may look tiny but she already weighs 3.8 kg’s. If you have ever watched a couple looking at their newborn child you will notice that there is such tenderness involved in every little touch of the hand or whisper that everything will be okay. That is what we capture in the photos of your precious baby photos. I

could just sit and stare at newborn babies all day, they stir something unknown deep in my heart. It could almost be explained as we use our maternal instincts to photograph these beautiful miracles. I would recommend bringin baby in when they are between 3-7 days old. They have

this newborn look along with the cutest little wrinkles on their arms and legs. Try and schedule a provisional shoot for your newborn so that you already have contact details and addresses so if baby comes early and it feels like chaos has taken over your life at least one more thing is taken care of

Being pregnant is such a special time in a woman’s life. It signifies that you have reached a stage in your life where you are
ready to bring someone into your life who is going to change your life. Such a big responsibility. Your body starts to change

and prepare for the little baby who is starting to grow inside your womb. Maternity Photos is a way to creatively document
this wonderful time in your life. Pregnancy photos have evolved into something of an artform. These photos are now prominently

displayed in homes all over. Every pregnant belly and pregnancy is different from the next. Take your time to look for a female
photographer with whom you feel comfortable with and enjoy!

The ladies from Heilie Clothing held THE FASHION SHOW OF THE YEAR last night at their showroom in Winchester Hills. The whole idea was to free your mind and let go of your inhibitions… Glass Angels was the inspiration for the fashion show and fittingly some models wore “wings” with their various outfits.

To make the whole experience more personal they decided to have the fashion show at their showroom in Winchester hills. They added funky lighting, a marquee tent outside with comfy chairs and a “lounge area” with comfortable scatter cushions where you could just chill…

Staying true to their company colours delicious blue cocktails was served as welcome drinks for all of the guests attending this event. (They looked awesome)

They made a funky runway down through a passage which was aptly decorated with disco balls hanging from the roof (this really completed the look and feel of the clothing and jewellery.

Every model walked down this catwalk looking like she owned the world and the only explanation for this is that clothing from Heilie fashion are cut in such a way that you feel sexy and comfortable (which is a bonus for every woman wanting to look beautiful)

There was something for each and every personality type. Barbara-Anne Puren was the MC and entertained guests with her Angelic voice and her saxophone (very cool)

There was “catsuits” with various accessories like a corsette waist, beautifully cut jackets and trenchcoats and some even had a big flower or two adorning the shoulders…

Let me tell you a story about Heilie clothing jeans, apparently they are the best fit you will ever find (seeing that it is designed and made by women, for women) and you will most likely wear one size smalller ![]()

They also introduced the men’s designer shirts from Peter Stone. Designed for the South-African male who want to look successful and stylish. They are made to fit over the shoulder whilst being slightly tailored at the waist. There was so many beautiful (and creative) items that every woman in JHB would find something she just HAS to have
Ladies this was an extra ordinary event and I look forward to the next one… lol)

Its unbelievable to think that Woman at Work has been going for a year!? We’ve been there photographing these networking functions since they started in December 2008 and it’s truly amazing to have walked this road with Toni & Tanya and see their vision evolve and grow like it has.
The woman at work year-end function was held at the Glenvista Country Club and we had an absolute ball. No microphone glitches, nothing (I know… unbelievable) The Glenvista Country Club offers an indoor & outdoor function area and they will help you arrange everything. You can even get married there and have your wedding photos taken on their lovely green golf course…

The charity of choice for the evening is Carita’s Home situated in Brackendowns. An extract from their website:”Yvonne Deetlefs saw an urgent need for a safe, secure and loving environment for abandoned and abused children. The result was the birth of Caritas Home, May 2001. There are anywhere from 14 to 24 children living at Caritas, all of whom have been placed with us through Social Workers and the Courts. The outward appearance of our house gives the impression of an ordinary home in the area. This is so that the children can live as normal a life as possible and ensure a “Place of Safety” for the children”
Yvonne and your team, thank you so so much for everything you do for all of these children. I’m sure it means more to them than they will ever be able to express!

Edith Venter was the guest speaker for the evening. Let me tell you she is one remarkable lady! Even though people judge Edith (without really knowing her) she still addressed all the ladies with an opening about how important it is to never judge any other person because you never know what they might be going through. It takes so little effort to tell another woman her hair looks pretty, or you love her dress and I promise you by building up other people you will feel uplifted yourself.
Here is a little something Edith read to all of us:”
A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape, but …
A woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape.
A strong woman isn’t afraid of anything, but …
A woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear.
A strong woman won’t let anyone get the best of her, but …
A woman of strength gives the best of her to everyone.
A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future, but …
A woman of strength realizes life’s mistakes can also be God’s blessings and capitalizes on them.
A strong woman walks surefootedly, but …
A woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls.
A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face, but …
A woman of strength wears grace.
A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey, but …
A woman of strength has faith that in the journey she will become strong.”

And I truly found this inspirational. Read these words again and just think about it for a while… Edith Venter is a graceful lady, and even though she is standing on a podium she speaks to you like she is sitting across from you in your sitting room having a galss of wine or cup of tea. She makes you feel like you’ve known each other for years and years.
Truly a very different person to what the media portrays…

This is one year end function with great photos. Every woman at work networking get-together is such a great function because there is always constant laughter. Basically ladies, business women, mothers and friends coming together to network and have a great time!

I think it is extremely important to find the thing or things which imspires you and makes your soul blossom

She must not be awed by that which has been built up around her;
she must reverence that woman in her which struggles for expression.”

they try to have more things, or more money,
in order to do more of what they want so they will be happier.
The way it actually works is the reverse.
You must first be who you really are, then, do what you need to do,
in order to have what you want.”
