I still very much enjoy our couple shoots, because it’s something different than running around with energetic kiddies – it’s just a big bundle of fun with a couple who already enjoy being in each other’s company, and who like to kiss each other endlessly.

We love it when people get creative and bring their own props or paraphernalia to make their shoot extra special, something they’ll remember to being just what they had in mind, and it seems most people are more comfortable with what they know.

This lovely, loving couple brought along their two cute dogs, which in turn brought bundles of energy to the studio, and getting them to sit still, turned out to be the mission of the day.  It’s a shoot that never seems to amuse and amaze is, because not only do we seem to get fun, spontaneous photos, we capture that special magic the couple share, the reason they are crazy about each other. A couple shoot with our studio would be the best gift to give each other, a way to make memories that will last forever.

Couples Photoshoots

We get to form a bond with families visiting us for the second or third time, and we have had the opportunity to photograph some families on even more than third occasions. We are very proud of the fact that we produce good products for clients, which is what makes them return and keep us in mind when they want another shoot done, whether it be in the studio with their families, or and event they are attending or organized and want some pictures of.

This family has been with us for their Maternity shoot and we fell in love with their personalities immediately. After their beautiful baby boy was born, they brought him back where we had the chance to give them the first professional photos of their little miracle, and Riani did such an amazing job with him.

Our Maternity/Newborn package is a favorite and quite a roaring success. It makes us as photographers form a bond with the new parents, and we will always have our clients back for more and more amazing shoots – more memories to be treasured.

Holiday specials

You can’t get away from the very cute stages little kids go through, and it is not only the best idea to bring them to our studio for photos, but it also will add to the library of amazing memories your family had been able to gather, because we’ll make sure your experience with our studio is only that of amazement, and great fun.

We want to do what we do best – creating lovely images, by using the loving relationship you as family share.  Little kids have this amazing ability to grow up extremely fast, and before you know it, the previous phase has past, and the next one is already in full swing. Eventually, they all (sadly), lose that newborn look with the little folds everywhere, or that waddle walk, or missing front teeth, make for new ones to grow back. Bring them when they are still small enough to completely adore, and you’ll be able to remember them small and dependant.

It’s a proud responsibility to become parents, celebrate that honour by getting great photos done with the kids, and enjoy the great service and products our studio offers.

Taking photos of newborn babies have taught me many things over the years…

 Patience is the first and foremost, take everything you have had in your life to teach you patience and multiply it by 5!  I have learnt that the best way to capture the innocence of a newborn baby is to forget about what you have got to do and just tap into their rhythm.  If they want to feed and you want to shoot, you will soon realize the error of your ways J  Happy baby, happy photographer and memories for parents to treasure!

Feeding in between truly does soother your baby in such a way that they cope much better with the experience of giving you wonderful photos.

A warm cozy environment is the second lesson.  Even though you as the photographer feel like you are in a sauna your little model is very snug and relaxed because of the heat, so make sure that you regulate the temperature for them.

It’s the little things that count, so do heat your hands before you touch the baby as they tend to be a lot more keen on being moved and tilted around.

And don’t forget to enjoy this little miracle!

Newborn baby photos

In all fairness, I do not consider myself that old at all, but I find it such a joy to photograph youngsters when they come for their matric dance photos by us, as it brings back so much fantastic memories, and I can still remember those last few moments of school, just wanting that hard work of the past 12 years to be over already. It’s celebrated with such a great event, an event where everyone gets to dress up in their very best, and enjoy an evening of dancing and fun.

Ending of your school career in such a way, is quite prestigious and doing it in the best possible way, by having a professional photoshoot done at LDP studio, will capture all of the last past years, into one great shoot. The images also show the amount of effort that went into the planning of those amazing outfits, and if the two people going together are indeed a couple, they have this electric atmosphere between them, of the anticipation of the evening lying ahead brought on.

We encourage all couples to have a shoot done before your special event, as it will be professionally done, and have you enjoy the evening without worrying whether someone will capture you at least once looking your best. We know that we did, and you will have the peace of mind of getting a great product to be proud of, and to remember your special schooldays with.
