If you think your job is difficult, try and get a little three month old baby to smile at your camera… No pressure   Take a look at the baby photos below:  The stern-looking expression is more or less Lolo’s standard look (apparently he takes after mom…) and the smiley face is what you get when you spend 10 minutes “baby talking” and smiling so much that your cheeks hurt.  Totally worth it!

The most important thing when capturing cute baby photos is that you need to “understand at what level” your little subject is at.  Do they enjoy it when you make funny noises at them  or would some soapy bubbles make them smile.  Another important aspect is to always keep smiling at your little baby subject, as well as reassuring the parents that they are doing wonderfully.  (This will put them at ease and in turn make your subject more comfortable with being and interacting with you)

And in the end all your hard work will pay off with a million dollar smile like this (maybe accompanied by some gurgling baby sounds)  I can’t quite put on my finger onto why I just love photographing babies I just truly enjoy capturing these beautiful smiling faces.  In the end I always wonder who will you grow up to be little one?  Are you going to be more like daddy in being very technically orientated  with a kind heart just like your mom or are you just going to be totally different?

We are a family orientated photography studio.  Initially we did a lot of baby photography, as well as family photography.  We are now branching into a lot more corporate and wedding photography so that we can offer an all-round service to our clients. 

Is your baby normally very interactive and happy-go-lucky until you whip your camera out and all the smiles disappear?  Usually it is because you are either breaking eye contact (by putting the camera in fron of your face) or because you are concentrating to use your camera correctly (and so not spending as much energy to getting baby to smile)  Where as when you bring your little baby to our studio for baby photography you can still smile at and entertain them while we capture every beautiful smile!!!

The birth of a baby is a daily occurence… The difference is that it feels like nothing short of a miracle when this tiny little baby is yours.

Baby Matthew is a few weeks old and he has already grown quite a lot.  He might look tiny in his daddy’s hand but “G” is broad shouldered and about 1.9 metres tall.  So compared to mom baby is actually really big.

Having newborn baby photos taken might seem like a daunting prospect when you are still figuring out what your newborn baby needs from you after just a few days, but it is definitely worth it!!!

Looking at this beautiful smile just lights up my heart   O is almost 6 months old and can already sit all by herself, amazing isn’t it?  She and her mom have been visiting South-Africa

from London and they decided that they just had to get some beautiful baby photos taken to leave behind for the grannies.  This little baby girl ios a natural model, not once did I see

her start to fuss or cry.  She is absolutely contec about anything and everything.  I am so grateful your sister referred you to us, because these beautiful baby photos are yours to treasure forever and ever!!!

All women have this deep understanding of being pregnant, I think it is such a perfect privilege given to you by God to fall pregnant and bring a child into this world…

And this is one of the reasons why it is so special to me to photograph mom when she is pregnant and then to meet little baby when they are in this big world.  Little G is almost 5 weeks old and weighs4.5 kg’s…

Have you noticed how little babies have this way of commanding all the attention at any given time even though they are so small?  G is such a contented little baby girl, you can move her around, put her down by herself and she will just look around at everything.

This gorgeous little girl only has eyes for her lovely mommy.  Every time mom comes close she just stares at her.  And she’s a perfect little model too

I love babies with lots of dark hair (even though it falls out a bit in the beginning)  It just makes them look so cute!  Hope mine is born with full heads of hair which I can style into any haristyle imaginable like a mohawk

Dad is besotted with his little girl, and he just looks so comfortable whenever he hold her.  It is certainly so precious to see the way a new dad looks at his newborn child with so much love…

I just love newborn babies! The tinier they are, the better! I can’t explain it – I am just so drawn to newborns and never want to put them down -
Ryan panics every time I hold one because he knows that I might just say let’s have another one (LOL)
Today I went to photograph Baby Angelica and as always, I loved it!
It was even more memorable because she is my little cousin (2nd cousin actually but who’s checking)
She is such a beautiful, content little baby….. her name really says it all – she is an absolute angel!

There is something special about photographing a baby in their own home…. while the look and feel is very different to newborn photography done
“in studio”, there is a kind of “connection” with home and family when photographing newborns in their own room or “on location” as we say.
Not to mention the fact that it is much easier for moms….(travelling with a small newborn baby can be quite daunting in the early stages!!)
We have had the pleasure of photographing Baby Angelica in studio and on location

so her mom has the best of both worlds… she is planning to do some beautiful scrapbooking with all the photographs which I am sure Angelica
will treasure one day. We might even do a storybook / photobook of Angelica’s first year! But for now she is only 1 month old…. and we
are not missing any of those delicate moments!!!
