We always love to find out from our clients when they come for their maternity shoots, how exactly the moment played out when they told their husbands they are now pregnant, and we love to hear the different stories. Many people were together, many phoned their husband with the exciting news – and we always enjoy the proud father’s tale of how this new ear, is so special for them, and how they can’t wait for little baby to arrive.

We can’t stress enough how quickly time flies, we have all experienced it when a new year starts, suddenly Easter comes along, winter feels like it suddenly dawned on all of us overnight, and then the end of the year looms again. Therefore we encourage all future parents, or mommies and daddies thinking about having a shoot done with mommy’s pregnant tummy, and then later when little one has arrived, to go ahead and make that booking, it isn’t something you’ll regret.

It’s a time where you literally see your life changed in instants, and know that things will never be the same for your family ever again. You receive this amazing opportunity to build and shape the life of a little human being and however daunting it may seem, it’s one day at a time, and trying as best you can. Pregnancy and newborn photoshoots

Riani has an amazing way with little little babies. By being in a symbiotic, working relationship with someone else, you get to see many of their ways of working, and you get the opportunity to grow and learn so much. Every person has their strengths and developmental areas, and if you work together, the one feeds off of each other. Here by us, we are a well-oiled machine who does everything we can to make our studio successful, and through how we get to deal with our amazing client-base, we grow every day.

It’s always interesting to sit in and watch how she assures parents, and handles little baby to get good shots. Babies, just like grown people, have their own unique personalities and traits from day one, and some are more sensitive, and much less fazed by things that others. Each baby, and each family, is treated individually, and all babies are treated in such a way that suits them. We get to see intuitively which of them likes handling less and who cares very little if you change them or feed them. We wouldn’t want the shooting experience to be negative for them, so we always make sure to get them settled, and do whatever we can do accommodate parents, and little one.

Amazing newborn baby photography

With all the pregnancy photoshoots we do I find it fascinating to see how uniquely pregnant every special mommy is.  I promise you that no two tummies look the same, similar maybe but not the same.  And it all depends on where and how the baby is lying throughout the pregnancy.

The “N” family decided rather late in their pregnancy that they would like to have photos taken and so we die their pregnancy photoshoot at 39 weeks (slightly stressful but it worked out perfectly)  We don’t have many mom’s come so late during their 40 weeks and so if you looked closely at mommy’s tummy you could see every time baby made a move, really incredible.

We had so much fun in the studio seeing that mom and dad were really interested in taking some arty semi-nude pregnancy photos.  We used little baby socks and textured material as props to enhance the shape of tummy  nicely.

We are very proud to call ourselves a unique photographic studio. Not only in the way we shoot – meaning that w encourage all clients to bring their personalities to their shoots and incorporate and sense of their own beings to make it special, but also in our approach, as we have been told numerous times we go the extra mile for people and how they appreciate it, and we feel humbled by people’s positive feelings towards our services offered.

Maternity shoots are shoots where we get to be quite creative, with lighting as well as with people’s characters, as many new mommies- and daddies-to-be, bring interesting props to make their images special and different. We encourage that fully, and would like people to be nothing but comfortable in their shoot, feeling they were able to show a part of themselves and their personalities. Maternity shoots are celebrations in itself, as a new life will very shortly present themselves, and we get to photograph this little baby.

Pregnancy Photos

We are in the process of upgrading our website, and we were looking though our amazing newborn photos and we thought we’d just delight you with them. Newborns are the most amazing little things on earth, and they have this unfortunate ability to lose that newborns look way too fast, when you still want to remember those adorable wrinkles and expressions.

We find it a big honour when we get to establish a good relationship with couples who are pregnant, and then when little one is born, bring them back again for their very first shoot. It’s great way to have your maternity shoot be special, with captivating images, that are not only tastefully done, but a beautiful remembrance of a time before a little human being changed your life, but it’s even more so special, when you get to bring your little baby, who has only you they can depend on, for a shoot that will get leave you with images of all their small features in a great quality product to keep always.

When your children are big and grown-up, you get to take out those photos, and remember a small person, who nothing but needed you for their survival, and we always aim to get the special bond between parents and that amazing baby, captured in our studio, here at LDP, The Real Life Studio.

Newborn Baby Photoshoot

Dressing up is always fun, and when doing it with friends, for a celebration, even more so. I fully believe in making moments counts, and having great times with friends, and this year for my birthday I had some of my girlfriend’s dress up in the era of the 50’s, as I love the style of those times.

That is one of the reasons why I love photography so much, because it isn’t limited to anything, anything and everything can be captured, and it will all mean something else. Wildlife photography has a different feel- and meaning than environmental photography, and why have something like a birthday celebration all in dress-up, and it can’t be captured in a great way, as we as professionals would like to do.

We have even had a few shoots in the studio, with very innovative themes. Photos are all we have to remember those moments when you laughed out of your stomach, when a little baby was born, when a bride walked down the aisle, or when your loving friends wish you all the best and you blow out some candles. Dress-up Birthday Parties

It used to be something even frowned upon some time ago, but these days, maternity photography is quite an artform, and it’s in actual fact very technical, as a lot of what happens with the set-up and how that is used, goes into it. When pregnant, you quite obviously have this beautiful shape in front of you, and that should be something celebrated and definitely photographed, as photographing shapes, and giving it dimension through lighting, is the very essence of photography.

Pregnant tummies have a beautiful shape to them, but form and emotional standpoint, it’s very very special, as it holds precious cargo, and someone’s little child, and somewhere very proud grandparents’ grandchild.

We play around with the light in a maternity shoot, because it aids us in giving amazing results, and making the parents-in-waiting even more proud of that tummy. It’s a great joy to know a little baby is on the way, and we celebrate that by giving mommy and daddy a beautiful product to remember when baby was still inside, and when the little one presents themselves, they have a special shoot just for them, to not forget how small those little hands and feet actually were.
