Laughter…Fun…Challenge…Joy… Love… Support… all these words make up a little part of something that we call family. You cannot choose them and you might sometimes think that they are a little bit wacky but that doesn’t make you love them any less
The V family had a morning

of fun with our Real Life Studio photographers this morning. All in all there were 9 of them with two being 3 yrs old. You can just imagine
We capture every moment of laughter and sibling rivalry in such a way that you can treasure your professional family photos for years to come.
Here at the Real Life Studio we use interactive poses like piggybacking, throwing coloured balls around the studio and many more… Just by looking at their photos I can tell you exactly what this family is like… Funny, cheerful and caring

Now this is one photoshoot I am so proud of
I absolutely adore these photos, I just can’t help but smile everytime I look through them. W & A came to our studio all the way from Pretoria. They looked at the work of many pregnancy photographers and decided that our photos were
the ones they wanted
I really feel so privileged and honoured that someone appreciates my work that much. Don’t get me wrong, it was just as much hard work as I enjoyed it. (no pressure) They asked me to do some really unique and creative maternity photos as they want
something special. This is exactly what I gave them. A & W your photos came out so well, with all the creative lighting and laughter we shared I think we managed to capture some truly magical pregnancy photos. I can’t wait to photograph your little one…

Well, this gorgeous little angel is 9 months old and she smiles like she has won the lottery. And let me tell you it’s contagious
The studio was filled with laughter from the time they walked through the door till they had to go home. Ever heard of the expression smiley happy faces?
Well these are the perfect words to describe this little girl. She is a bundle of energy and has just started crawling this morning (which worked out perfectly as she was crawling in “slow motion”) And the best part is, we are trying to get her to crawl for one photo and mom tries to call her,

nothing. Dad tries to call her, nothing. But as soon as mom pulls out the bag of flings she instantly gets onto all fours and crawls all the way over the claim her prize…
It was just too precious!

A & P dit was regtig lekker om julle in die studio te he en ek kan nie wag om vir julle al julle mooi fotos te wys nie!

I found this really interesting list on another blog on the net and I thought it was a really cool way to start this year.
How it works (in case you forgot): I will answer the below very random questions – then you can answer the questions as a comment. Why? ’cause sharing is caring ![]()
1. Today I feel… like inspiring someone
2. This week…I want to decide what is important enough to fight for, and what isn’t.
3. Last night…I lay on my sister’s bed with her, watched Ally McBeal and laughed until my tummy hurt
4. Lately the song stuck in my head is… ” Bohemian Rhapsody” -Queen
5. My New Years eve… was spent watching the sun set over the Drakensberg and sharing laughter with my family
6. This year I’m looking forward to… expanding my horizons (like studying graphic design etc), taking up another creative hobby which I’ve been meaning to do for a while (like starting to play the piano again), achieving some of my goals, to watch a Soccer World Cup game here in sunny South-Africa and speding a lot more time with important people in my life. To expand our photographic studio to meet all our clients needs.
7. What big lesson/s did you learn in 2009? I learnt alot of things about how much I can achieve if I put my mind to it, that no matter how hard you think your life is there is always something to be grateful for. When you are in your flow you create magic. That giving really is better than receiving. That you can never stop growing, that you should always strive to achieve your goals but even more important is to set new ones and start working on achieving them…

What makes Christmas so special? You, me and every other person in the world love Christams for very different reasons…
Kids obviously love Christmas because they get lots and lots of presents “from Santa Claus” Christians around the world celebrate Christmas as that day represents the birth of Jesus Christ our saviour. But for me Christmas is special day to bring thanks for another year which could be spent with friends and family. I love just catching up with my “whole” famil (believe me it is more like tribe… lol) Just having fun, spending quality time together palying board games, having a special lunch etc etc etc.
So this year why don’t you involve the whole family (kiddies included) to create personalised Christmas cards? Come through to our studio for a fun filled Christmas photoshoot (red shirts, christmas hats and all…) Be a part of the games and laughter and afterwards select your favourite photo and we will create personalised christmas cards (with your family photo on the front) especially for your family to send out to all the relatives and friends. No mess, no fuss. Feel free to contact us for more info!

Photographing kids is one of the most difficult things… They act very differently at every age and stage. Take Callum and Brooklyn for instance, Brooklyn is almost two and a half and Callum is 5 months old. Our little toddler wants to explore
the world and has no inclination whatsoever to sit in a little room and smile at an unfamiliar lady holding a camera… Little Callum just loves all the attention and as long as his bum is dry and his tummy is full he can’t help but smile
The art lies
in capturing their two very personalities in different but complementing ways… So I always say:” Do what comes naturally to you” For example my brother has 3 little boys and let me tell you they play rough. He dangles them upside
down by their feet and thows them into the air over his shoulder, and other times he just has to tickle them to get them in fits of laughter. As long as your kids are enjoyig themselves they will laugh and play and smile right where they are. Does this
little face look like he’s having fun? You bet! Always keep your family portraits relaxed and natural, ask everyone to do day to day playthings or even tell a joke. Get dad to put the kids on his back and give them a horsey ride etc. Let your imagination run wild!

My cousin got married a few weeks ago and it was a really special day! Mandy (the bride) and Clint (he groom) make such a lovely couple – they are so in love and it is beautiful to see!!! I of course was taking photographs and was in my element – I love to photograph weddings! There is something contagious about them: the love, the excitement, the nerves,
the families, the tradition…. there are so many special moments to capture on film, and that’s what I love!!!
Of course, I also got to see some of the family that I never get to see, which is always nice. I have so many cousins it’s scary but it’s fun when we all get together and share crazy family stories and always has us in fits of laughter!!!
The wedding was a morning wedding (a really cold morning too – poor Mandy in her wedding dress!!) And so it was short and sweet and simple and special! You could not take the smile off either Clint or Mandy’s face the entire morning. But my best part of the day was when Clint cried as Mandy walkied down the aisle…. I think all the women were watching and aaahing at how sweet that was – he truly is lovestruck!
Well cuz, I wish you guys a wonderful life of love and gratitude together! Enjoy every moment as it seems to fly by so quickly….
Dear Riani
I’d like to say a very big thank you for the photo shoot you did on Saturday for Sages Modeling Portfolio.
Sage has lots of fun and felt very relaxed and like a professional model working with you, it was an overall great experience.
