Pregnancy is such a special time in any woman’s life.  Some of us will be blessed with one or more pregnancies and each one is different with a unique individual softly being woven together close to your heart.

In our pregnancy photoshoots we portray you as a Goddess (don’t  laugh, cos it’s true    )  We make use of low-key lighting (as seen in the pics above) to accentuate all and everything which is beautiful – the love you and your hubby share, the joy and laughter,, placement of your hands,  your beautiful tummy (and if you have stretch marks I have a “magic wand which you will just adore”, so don’t even think to stress about that ) and simply the beautiful shape of your pregnancy body.  Let’s face it, there is something very magical about the shape and silhouette of a pregnant woman.

And of course we also use this low key lighting to “hide” everything you are not too fond of, so it’s a win-win scenario   You are also more than welcome to bring along every and any prop you like and we will incorporate this into your shoot, be it blocks spelling baby’s name or pearls you got from your grandmother.

Pregnancy photoshoots

Babies give us such joy, because when they get to that stage just before they get their actual teeth, but they already have some personality, they tend to give you these gummy smiles, and it’s something that only makes your heart melt. Little kids rule the world, and they will only smile if they feel like it. So many people show us photos of these babies at homes giving the biggest smiles, and when they are in the studio, they tend to be out of their comfort zone some, and the smiles do not come so easily. We do everything but about stand on our head to get them to smile, and we get great results with our shoots, as these are natural smiles, and special moments of baby.

They really grow very fast, it’s from the one stage to the next, and one should capture these little milestones of theirs, and what better to do that than to have professional photographs of baby. We understand that your kid might not quite know what is going on, with strangers trying to get them to smile, but we really entertain them with all sorts of sports.

Baby Photography

This photoshoot was so intimate and special.  Z never really considered having kids and then she met the right man and all of a sudden everything just changed and she became broody…  Now she is 38 weeks pregnant and her little man will be born in 4 days time.  It’s always interesting to look back at what we planned and how our lives turn out.  We tried to do something a little bit different than the normal pregnancy photos and so we used different materials in different colours and they both worked well in these photos

Capturing pregnancy in an arty way is very satisfying.  Most women don’t feel very pretty when they are pregnant (as their ankles swell, they pick up a little bit of weight and their hormones are on a see-saw)  So we take it upon ourselves to show you just what a beautiful shape your body has taken on.  Creative lighting is something we use to accentuate your new curves along with your baby bump.  Trust me, we’ll make you look at your pregnant tummy in a whole new beautiful light…

Babies will always have this amazing ability to be cute, and they go through the most beautiful phases with only two bottom teeth, or stunning smiles and expressions, and they grow way too fast out of them again. One of the most extraordinary phenomena’s here by us, is seeing small children or babies, or a mommy with a beautiful pregnant tummy – and you get to see that newborn when they present themselves, or babies already older and doing so much more like crawling or walking, and a few months later, that kid has grown something tremendous.

It’s lovely to capture those little smiles, and we try our best to get baby to give them to us, so we encourage all parents to bring little one for their own special photoshoot, or we make sure to entertain them when we do a whole family shoot, so that some smiles can be captured. Friendly babies make any heart melt, and no grandparent will leave the parents alone if they knew stunning photos were taken of their precious grandchildren.

With family shoots, many grandparents come along, and it’s very special to get the generations together for a shoot, and one can see so much of yourself in the little ones. Professional Baby Photography

A wedding should most of all, actually only be enjoyed. It can be quite a stressful day, but the most important thing of all, is that you say “I do” at the end of it all. Once that has happened, it’s a special sealed moment, and you can actually relax then, and just enjoy the rest of the day, the start of your life together.

On a wedding day, many things are happening at once, and you have all your loved ones there to celebrate it with you, so many things just fly past you and in the midst of it all, you hope it gets recognized by anyone, as you poured your heart into the planning of it all. We as the photographers, make sure to capture every last thing. Both Riani and I, are experienced wedding photographers, and Louise, being an avid photographer herself with a big interest in photography, saw our capability when she hired us both. We treat every single wedding as a personal reflection on us and of who we are, and it’s extremely important to us to get it right – both technically, and emotionally.

You want to remember it all, in a creative way after all, not just with some photographs only being a record of what happened. It’s when magic gets in the way, that something special happens, and we make it our responsibility, and priority, to photograph it professionally, with good equipment, and to the best of our abilities.

Wedding Photography

It’s really amazing to photograph any young woman walk in here, wanting to have modeling photos done. It’s sometimes not even for the intention of starting with a modeling career; it’s maybe just even to have nice photos taken of themselves professionally, and such a shoot, I thoroughly enjoy, it is very casual, and full of chat about the ‘model’, their life and what they do for a living or just how they spend their time or what they do for fun.

With any client of ours, we pride ourselves in giving them professional products, so we use good lighting and cameras, and it makes a world of difference. Having a great passion for photography is what makes our studio so successful, as it really is what we breathe, eat and sleep. With any art, if there isn’t 120% passion behind it, it’s noticed by the audience. A certain X-factor that can’t always be clearly explained , runs through the shoot when the artist’s passion was fully poured into the project, and the goal was completely to get technically, wonderful shots of the subject, but to have the subject feel beautiful forever – as photos are forever, images captured for life.

Weddings are, definitely such special occasions, and our team at Louise Diesel Photography realize that, and take all care to photograph your very big day, as professionally, thoroughly, and detailed as possible. Usually with weddings, the whole party, and especially the couple in the spotlight, are in such a euphoric state, that you might forget many of the planned details that you spent hours organizing, making, or getting together, and we make sure to photograph that little things that you poured your heart into.

The couple has already waited for this day quite a while to come, and usually those photos have such a lovely feel to them, as the groom can’t keep his eyes off of his new bride.

To source us as photographers, would be a good investment in your memories, as we have been shooting weddings for some years, and have dealt with many different situations to be prepared for most things.
