Cute baby photos is all about capturing their expressions…  From big time frowns, to the wide open mouthed smiles (just gums everywhere    )  Yes, ages and stages is one of the most beautiful things babies go through and the best way to remember every little thing is to have professional baby photos taken.  Take little Hudson (nice name don’t you think) for instance, he is one of few babies who actually prefer lying on his tummy rather than sitting up all by himself.  Everytime I smiled at him he just  smiled right back.  I think this is part of the magic of babies, they are so innocent and just give love freely to anyone who would take a minute and talk to them.  I can see many girls lining up at your doorstep with this gorgeous “big” little boy in the house.  Baby Photography is an art which we have perfected, give them a little bit of love and attention and they will give you smiles (and maybe a little of drool if your lucky   ) all the way!

ALWAYS carry a camera around with you….  Even if you are just popping around to the garage for midnight snacks, don’t make the mistake of leaving it at home like me.  We went to the Drakensberg with the family over the Easter weekend and I had to go for a drive so that she could phone her boyfriend (there is no cellphone signal so you have to drive to the top of the mountain just to receive an sms or a call)  While we were driving that little voice in my head was wondering if I shouldn’t have brought a camera along.  But I reasoned that I had already taken loads of photos from that hill and that it couldn’t possibly be more beautiful.  So lo and behold after making this important call we turn around to go back home and there in front of our eyes are the most gorgeous sunset I have ever witnessed there.  With the sun’s golden rays just lighting up the mountains facing the sun here and there highlighting the long grass… I could’ve kicked myself.  Just when you think the world couldn’t get any prettier.. it will.  So the lesson of the day is to always keep your camera on you

“J” & “M” is now all of three months old.  Considering that they were prem babies they are now big and strong.  My heart was stolen by them the first time I laid eyes on them.  At first looking at these gorgeous twin babies you would think they must be identical, but as you get to konw them you soon realize that the differences between this little boy and little girl are

very big.  Take for instance “J” is normally very niggly and cries a little and “M” is usually really quiet and content with the world.  But on the day of the photoshoot they decided to take a shot at each other’s roles.  Photographing twins is one of the challenges that are very close to my heart.  My brother also has identical twin boys and I love photographing them.

Because they are very alike as well as very different and the trick lies in capturing these little nuances.

When I look at these photos I can still hear the girls giggling…  It made me think of my sister and I when we were that age.  You are laughing so much that your stomach hurts and yet

you cannot explain to any person why   The “H”s made me think of my family, a lot of people with their own beautiful language.  They have three conversations at a time and yet

everyone knows exactly what is going on.  This bunch was so lively I decided that the best way to photograph them would be Lifestyle photography here at the real life studio.  So we

made jokes, had everyone lying on top of each other and little “M” doing his signature model move (lying on his stomach next to whoever was being photographed…   )  For the Real Life Studio experience come and join us for a morning of family fun and laughter ( and gorgeous photos)

Going to your matrci dance means a whole year of preparation.  You start looking for that perfect matric dance dres months before the actual dance, looking everywhere from the google to the back of the “Huisgenoot”   And then finally your eyes settle upon the most beautiful dress

you’ve ever seen!  Decide on the colour you would like your matric farewell dress to be and then off to the dressmaker, to buy material, get measurements taken etc etc etc.  Now to get prince charming to ask you to the dance is a whole other story.  In the end you just need to get your

gorgeous silver heels out and select a hairstyle suited to a princess and off you go!  Professional matric dance photos are really the most awesome way to start off a rocking night like this!!!  It makes you feel like the superstar you know you are.  One last thing is that when you
