I am under the very strong impression that anyone can be a model, and a good one at that. Modeling might not come natural for most of us, but just like driving a car, it had to be taught and learnt and when you get behind the wheel of a car today, you know exactly what to do and it just flows quite smoothly. We had a skeptic model recently that came for a photo shoot, not knowing what to expect, and even more so not knowing what the results would look like. We always aim to “wow” people, it not only gives what we do meaning, but holds our reputation as a solid professional photography studio in good form, as that is what we claim to be and professionalism, in service to our clients, the photographing of their shoot, the editing of their photos and even in printing, we want to deliver great products, we want people to experience something that they feel they might not be able to achieve at home, and with our guidance we create magic in front of the camera.

I have known M for years now, and we decided that it would be fun to do a boudoir photoshoot for her man.  And so one fateful day our schedules had open slots at the same time and we had tons of fun in the studio.  M has is a professional model (and good friend) and I enjoyed shooting with her in the studio.  She was very open-minded to the different poses I had to suggest as well as coming up with some creative ideas of her own   Here is a testimonial which M wrote after her afternoon of sexiness:

Living with twin 7 year-old boys and a little whirlwind of 2 and a half I have come to understand why some people are hesitant to bring their little ones in for a photoshoot.  I often hear people mention :”I’ll bring them when they’re a little

bit older…” But I am here to tell you that this is when they are at their cutest.  We understand that they are busy, never sit still and are sometimes just naughty, but hey they’re just little kids.  We also know that if you tickle them enough you are bound to get beautiful shots (and maybe laugh a little too) or playing peek-a-boo can coax most shy toddlers out

Today I photographed Mrs M who is 2 weeks away from giving birth to her beautiful baby girl   To me photos of pregnant women represent hope, new life and a little bit of magic.  I absolutely adore this photo, the hat was meant to serve as a traditional veil on her wedding day and so it has a truly special connection to her and this shoot.  Would you believe me if I told you that this gorgeous woman used to serve in the army… no…?  WEll believe it, pretty but tough!

Pregnancy Photography

This world of ours really is a small place… Today I photographed Le Roux who is 12 days old.  His mom coached me at Hockey when I was in primary school and she was also in matric

when I was in std 6 at High school.  Can you believe it?!  This little newbirn baby is absolutely gorgeous with his head of hair and beautiful eyes.  Clearly he is the apple of daddy’s eye.

This was really an interesting newborn baby photoshoot, Le Roux’s name is mom’s maiden name, how creative   Guys congratulations on your darling boy and I hope there will be many more interesting years to come!
