woman at workI photographed the last Woman@work event last week and it was great fun as usual. I just love attending these events – I get to network and socialise with amazing and dynamic women and learn from inspiring speakers. This month’s event was held at The Boma in Alberton and we watched a show called “Leaving Las Vegas” which was fantastic!

Good music, good dancing, good company….. everythng I love (not to mention the good wine too LOL) But what I really love about these events, is that I get to spend time with my friends.Toni and Tanya, the powerhouses behind Woman@Work, have been friends of mine for almost 20 years now!the boma barnyard

And like me, they are wives, mothers and businesswomen so it’s not surprising that we don’t get to see as much of each other as we’d like…. so at least we have one fixed date every month that we get to spend quality time together – no husbands, no families, no children – just a group of incredible women! It’s time that I treasure and I am grateful to my beautiful friends for making it happen.

Woman@Work is a wonderful way to bond with your friends, make new friends, network with other business owners, learn from other people and have fun!Hope to see you there….. Louise

the real life studio photos

Lifestyle family photography, everybody is talking about it but no on can really define it.  I think of lifestyle family photos as photos taken in the moment…  Like pictures where little kids take a bite of a lemon for the first time and you capture their expressions etc

natural family pictures
The art of capturing these natural expressions (especially when photographing young children) is to make your photoshoot fun and relaxing.  Create a moment like we have done here by putting both girls into the shell with the coloured plastic balls and throw the balls every which way, and then you just move along with the family dynamics…

fun family photo ideas

Small kids love to play, so encourage them to do so, think of fun poses to put them in like sitting on mom/dad’s back or throw them up in the air.  You can even use a featherduster to tickle them with :-)   If you can do a party trick or two like juggling 3 balls or something which will intrigue them use it to your advantage

spontaneous toddler photos
Together we had so much fun in the studio that these two little girls were apprehensive to leave again :-) and this is really the kind of fun filled family experience we incorporate into every one of our unique photoshoot’s

I just love taking photographs of families! I love to catch them having fun together as it speaks of their relationships and unbelievable bonds that hold them together…..

I did a photo shoot in studio on Saturday for a wonderful couple and their son Sebastian who is only 15 months (but thinks he is about 5!!) He was a bit unsure when he first arrived, but after some fun with some balls, he felt right at home…

What I really loved about this photo shoot is that the family had such fun together and I was able to capture so many candid moments -

just look at these beautiful photos of Sebastian and his dad – don’t you just love it!!!

Customer Testimonial

As a first time client getting introduced to taking
studio photo’s of my daughter and myself, I didn’t know
what to expect and was rather quite nervous. From
the minute we met Riani, she made us feel so comfortable …...
