If this little face doesn’t just make you want to smile I don’t know what will…    We are roundabout 7-8 months old and really just love the world and everything in it.  Ok, I confess I am going through a mommy-only stage right now and I absolutely adore spending time with her.  I will smile (and drool) and even laugh right from my tummy just at the sight of my mommy.  These are the beautiful stages which we aim to capture at our Real Life Studio.

We are humans and we enjoy to laugh together and share in each other’s company.  I love the way you can see exactly just how much mom loves this little angel   There is just something special about the bond that a mom and daughter share, I can’t even think of words to describe it.  I believe to capture the personality of babies and toddlers you need to understand them and the things which they value.  For instance, toddler’s just love to think that they can stand behind a 5cm pole and that you cannot see them… And in the same way a baby gets a lot of  joy to see their mom’s face each and every time she hides behind something and jumps out to surprise you.

Pregnancy is a beautiful event in your life and it should be celebrated as such.  We love taking natural pregnancy photos of you and your partner.  We will still pose you and show you how we’d like you to stand and where to face but this is where the magic come into it… 

Our pregnancy photoshoots are fun and relaxed, we talk, laugh and joke the whole photoshoot through as well as capture teriffic images of your pregnant belly

Our studio is climate controlled so it the temperature is always just right come winter or summer.  If I had to sum it all up I would say pregnancy photos is all about showcasing your beautiful tummy whilst capturing that special connection you and your partner share…

Natural Pregnancy Photos

Taking photos of your dogs are sometimes really hard.  Here are a few tips on how to take good photos of your dogs,  Firstly you need an accomplice.  Call your dog over to you and pet them when they come, then get your accomplico to do the same thing.  As you call your dog over again make sure to snap some beautiful shots.  If you are photographing your dogs in summertime and they like playing with water, get out the hose and get your accomplice to chase them around.  Be ready to snap some beautiful pics.  Lastly keep your camera on a fast shutter speed to ensure sharp clear photos.

Living with twin 7 year-old boys and a little whirlwind of 2 and a half I have come to understand why some people are hesitant to bring their little ones in for a photoshoot.  I often hear people mention :”I’ll bring them when they’re a little

bit older…” But I am here to tell you that this is when they are at their cutest.  We understand that they are busy, never sit still and are sometimes just naughty, but hey they’re just little kids.  We also know that if you tickle them enough you are bound to get beautiful shots (and maybe laugh a little too) or playing peek-a-boo can coax most shy toddlers out

I just have to share this beautiful photograph which portrays the atmosphere in our country right now.  Since Mr & Mrs Kapanga brought their football jerseys with to the shoot I decided to think a little out of the box and this is the beautiful result.  Don’t you just love it

Pregnancy photography

Today I photographed Mrs M who is 2 weeks away from giving birth to her beautiful baby girl   To me photos of pregnant women represent hope, new life and a little bit of magic.  I absolutely adore this photo, the hat was meant to serve as a traditional veil on her wedding day and so it has a truly special connection to her and this shoot.  Would you believe me if I told you that this gorgeous woman used to serve in the army… no…?  WEll believe it, pretty but tough!
