What is it about babies that makes us smile…? Is it the naughty twinkle in a baby boy’s smile or the rosy cheeks of an angelic baby girl?! Somehow they spread joy and love wherever they are (well most of the time anyway
) This little baby boy chose today to take a break in his routine by not taking a late morning snooze. So he wasn’t too smiley when they walked through through our doors for their professional baby photos. But in the studio we had no trouble getting him to crack a smile and laugh from his belly
Between Mom, Granny and me we know all the secrets to getting babies to laugh when they are having their baby photos taken. Photographing babies is all about making it about fun and games, playing peek-a-boo behind a camera and much, much more!!! I find that the more you smile when taking photos of babies the more likely they are to smile right back at you. So just have fun!

“Before you were conceived, I wanted you. Before you were born, I loved you. Before you were here an hour I would die for you. This is the miracle of mother’s love.” – Anon
“A baby is something you carry inside you for nine months, in your arms for three years, and in your heart ’til the day you die.”
Pregnant women! They had that weird frisson, an aura of magic that combined awkwardly with an earthy sense of duty. Mundane, because they were nothing unique on the suburban streets; ethereal because their attention was ever somewhere else. Whatever you said was trivial. And they had that preciousness which they imposed wherever they went, compelling attention, constantly reminding you that they carried the future inside, its contours already drawn, but veiled, private, an inner secret.

The most important thing she’d learned over the years was that there was no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one.

We started this year off with a bang!!! Commercial and corporate photoshoots, add to that a bit of PRO-AM golf photography and a gorgeous baby or two and you have a basic idea of our first week of 2010. Aon Benfield asked us to come through and photograph some of their brokers

so that they could use these pics on reports and company related paperwork. I would recommend this to any company who thinks of themslelves of professional. If you can’t even take the time to have proper staff and profile photos taken of your employees what is your service

like? Great commercial photos of your staff members shows prospective clients that you give attention to the small details as well as being very professional. Most people are slightly nervous in front of a camera so try and schedule your sessions so that every individual gets at least 15-20

mins with the photographer. This gives both parties concerned time to get used to each other and relaxed in front of the camera. Your company boardroom is an ideal location to take these photos and it normally gives a wide range of “backgrounds”. Look at these results and decide for yourself. “Getting a burp out of your little thing is probably the greatest satisfaction I’ve come across. It’s truly one of life’s most satisfying moments.”
“A baby is an angel whose wings decrease as his legs increase.”

“Having a baby changes the way you view your in-laws. I love it when they come to visit now. They can hold the baby and I can go out.”
Matthew Broderick
“Families with babies and families without babies are sorry for each other.”
Ed Howe
“Even when freshly washed and relieved of all obvious confections, children tend to be sticky.”
Fran Lebowitz

“The moment a child is born,
the mother is also born.
She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother, never.
A mother is something absolutely new.”
Rajneesh
The last time I saw “J” was when he was but a few months old… His hair was much darker (almost black) and he had a fair skin (seeing that he was still a baby and didn’t get exposed to sun too much. I can’t believe how big he has gotten. He slides everywhere on his tummy and can now sit

by himself
This is one of the pleasure’s of being a photographer, you get to be a part of someone else’s life and this makes every photoshoot special in it’s own right. You have to be quick when photographing toddlers, they often don’t like to lie on their tummy’s for a very long time and

get bored really fast. Get down to their level and entertain them. Play peek-a-boo from behind the camera and remember to smile a lot. Children tend to imitate our behaviour so of course they might just smile back at you. Try to capture every little smile and expression as they seem to have so many of them. Have fun!
Being pregnant is such a special time in a woman’s life. It signifies that you have reached a stage in your life where you are
ready to bring someone into your life who is going to change your life. Such a big responsibility. Your body starts to change

and prepare for the little baby who is starting to grow inside your womb. Maternity Photos is a way to creatively document
this wonderful time in your life. Pregnancy photos have evolved into something of an artform. These photos are now prominently

displayed in homes all over. Every pregnant belly and pregnancy is different from the next. Take your time to look for a female
photographer with whom you feel comfortable with and enjoy!

“If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of god, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby, when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on it’s cradle.”

As a first time client getting introduced to taking
studio photo’s of my daughter and myself, I didn’t know
what to expect and was rather quite nervous. From
the minute we met Riani, she made us feel so comfortable …...
