Our Maternity/Newborn packages offer you something very special in that treasured time when you are still pregnant, and when baby have been born, to capture those moments that pass al too soon. Just like little puppies, who are very cute and cuddly when small, but get to grow way to fast into energetic dogs, even more so do babies grow, and suddenly they get to learn these significant skills, such as smiling, using their little arms to make all sorts of gestures and that flap wildly when they get excited. And all sorts of sounds are learnt – and then they actually start communicating with you.

Having a baby, is a miracle, all things are forgotten and forgiven very fast, and you get to focus on this small person but already with a significant role to play, and it such a huge part of your life, instantaneously. Making sure that all of this does not go unseen and forgotten to quickly because of time that jut seems to fly past, we find it necessary to have a shoot to remember all of your special moments by.

Being a Mommy for the first time, or even having to get the privilege of more than once, makes a woman realize how another little human being’s life is in their own hands now, and before birth, literally within themselves. That is a proud moment, and we would encourage all parents, either first-time, or having had been through it before, to celebrate this new life by enjoying a shoot at our LDP studio, and being amazed at the results.

Pregnancy photographer

Babies are the cutest little people, and it’s wonderful that they actually don’t get born already talking and walking, but gets to crawl first, and gurgle, and make all of these noises to express themselves. Some babies are a bit more serious, but then you get some like this baby – all smiles, and very very friendly.

This year alone, we have done over 400 shoots, many of which families and babies, so get to work with kids from all ages up, going through a sorts of different phases and know what things work to get baby to smile. We just ask all our clients to trust us as professionals, because we are grateful for you to have picked our studio to capture your memories, and that we will get you kiddies to smile, even if we get close to standing on our heads.

A shoot can be a very fun experience, or quite intimidating for small kids because the backdrop is already this big white space that they don’t know what to make off, and then we ask them to smile on it as well. But still know that we use your time in the studio well, and make sure we do the photos with the kids first as they get stimulated very fast, and only give us a few minutes, then they’re done. We always try and not force them into more, as it will only result in crying faces, which isn’t what they Gram’s want to see when you give them photos of the kids for Christmas.

Fun baby photos

Kids have this ability to grow way too fast, and before we see it, we don’t know when the moment came that they weren’t fitting into their clothes anymore, and new ones has to be bought, and they aren’t these chubby babies anymore with gummy smiles, they can actually run away when you want to catch them, and they have little milk teeth, and the most interesting expressions.

When you decide to have children, you make such big promise to them, and to yourself, to be the best parent you could ever be, and one way to always remember how they were once little and very dependant, to older and more self-efficient, is to have a great photo shoot where you get to have fun, and enjoy the moment.

We love children and their mannerisms and would want to encourage all families to add to their collection of photographs in all other walks of their lives, by coming for a professional photo shoot, and enjoying the environment, where we get to clown and joke around.

Real life studio photography

We had a Mom visit our studio once, who has three children, and with each of them she did their own special shoot when they reached a certain age. We had amazing fun with this little boy in the studio, because he had such an interactive personality, and did everyone we wanted him to; he smiled and jumped and giggled, and was a pleasure to photograph.

Mom is such a lovely lady, and she had fun as well, enjoying little one’s crazy tricks and obviously used to a boy’s wacky nature. We always try and shoot a family’s shoot, as modern and unique as possible, because you still want to look back at your photos in a few years’ time, and remember an amazing time, not that it was stiff and quite posed. It’s our strive to give our clients good, quality products, with it being shot correctly from moment one, with good colour and contrast, and edited in such a way as well.

Children have this ability to grow way faster than we think, and before we know it, they are taller, have a lot more to say, and they had completely changed from the babies they once were. Enjoying their growing-up, by having a shoot done of their milestones will let you remember their childhood with fondness.

The real life studio

With all the terrible things that happen in this world, it might as well be balanced by our little people – our kids. Kids are the cutest, and the moment they talk they get to say the funniest things. We enjoy little kids tremendously, and they sure as hell make us work for it. Kids rule the world, and when they don’t want to, they don’t want to. At Louise Diesel Photography, we fully believe, in having your shoot be a pleasant, enjoyable experience for you, which you’ll fondly remember.

Babies and kiddies still hold the true, honest way of the world in their little hands, as they cannot fake who they are, they are always 100% themselves, even if that be a bit shy, or a bit crazy, or very giggly.

We always entertain our little clients with as much enthusiasm as we can muster, because a kid’s smile is one of the most precious things to capture. You want to look back at you photos and remember your baby’s milestone, the times when they only had gums to smile at you, or when they started walking and still had a waddle to their step.

Big and small, we get to meet them all… :-)  Personally I think we have the best job in the world.  We get to meet new people on a daily basis as well as all the newborn angels, chubby babies, toddling toddlers and many more!

They are each special and unique in their own way.  Some of them just smile by themselves (you don’t even have to be talking to them) and some take a little more convincing, but in the end their true little personalities shine through.  Even if they are very solemn and frown most of the time, then this is what we’ll  capture, as that is the stage they are going through (besides these make for good photos to show at their 21^st’s :-)   )

Particular things appeal to different photographers; some would tell you that they like birds, some like wildlife, some love flowers, some love babies, and although it’s a good thing to have a love for a broad spectrum of things to photograph, we all have some things we absolutely adore, and we search them out in any travel we undertake, or we’re pleasantly surprised when we stumble upon them in life and you know it’s one of those things that give you joy. To me, one those things are doors and windows,as I see them as the portholes to the world, and they have this amazing ability to be shut tight, and keep you locked inside, as well as be opened up wide and set you free. They can let other people in or keep them out, and the double function it has is something that always has fascinated me, because it’s also a universal feature – you would be able to find a door with the same function in China, America – where ever you seem to be.

Finding these things that you find appealing could be a great adventure, and you should always hold on to that feeling, it keeps it real for you, and reminds you why you have an artistic inclination. Even though many of these things can’t speak actual words, it’s as if they tend to tell their own story in a way, one knows a beaten down door has seen many years of wear and tear, and had many people come in and out of it, and a door thick with many different kinds of paint, had people try and give it a new look numerous times, trying to restore something so that it could still be useable. Look for these things around you; you could be very surprised at what you find.
