I bribed the children to do a photoshoot in studio this morning (it cost me R1 per pic….) That’s the problem with being a professional photographer: my children cringe when I pick up my camera. So we’ve resorted to bribery which is a win-win situation. Unfortunately, Jamie is not really interested in money and so he posed for 4 photos and that was enough for him. Mikey on the other hand has a huge value on money and so he posed for 33 photos and I finally had to say that’s enough. Demi is just really busy so it’s actually a miracle to get all 3 of my children together and looking at the camera at the same time! Whenever this small miracle occurs, I get really grateful and sentimental when I see my 3 angels all together. I really am a lucky mom!!!

Anyway, I got to test my new camera (Canon 5D Mark II) in studio and I just love it! My new lens (EF 28mm-105mm f/4 L lens) is also awesome – fast and sharp! I just love photography! How many people get the opportunity of capturing special moments in time and get paid to do it? Not many…. I am blessed to do what I love and love what I do!!!

Speaking of doing what I love….. I am going to play dodgeball with the boys on the trampoline now and then I am going to lie on the couch on the patio outside and just chill….. now that sounds good too!!!
Happy Easter!!!!

As a first time client getting introduced to taking
studio photo’s of my daughter and myself, I didn’t know
what to expect and was rather quite nervous. From
the minute we met Riani, she made us feel so comfortable …...
