Photography is all about how you as an individual use the light.  If you look at the word photography: photo=light + graphy=recording.

Therefore as a photographer you must always be aware of the suns position and effect this will have on our subject in outdoor photography.

Here is a basic photography tip:  Shoot with the sun behind your subject and make sure you’ve got a clean uniform background ( like foliage)  The sun will provide you with great highlights in the hair and will usually give you good seperation between the background and your subject.  (always try to position your subject roughly 1-2m away from the background which will ensure that the background is out of focus and so drawing more attention to your subject)
