I’m in my element when I’m able to do any sort of modeling- or fashion related shoot, it’s one of the most versatile disciplines of photography, and bringing out the beautiful side in anybody, I find very challenging and very fulfilling.

All people are different, with different types of characters and ways of expression, and making a model out of such a jumble of things thrown together, is quite the challenge, and many people are not models inherently, they have to be “coached” into it a little. With good guidance from the photographer, any person could be a good model, and get successful, stunning shots – therefore you need a photographer who knows- and understands that.

At Louise Diesel Photography, we do all types of shoots- from maternity-, to families- to boudoir – which are also very much about making the lady having the shoot, all comfortable in underwear in front of the camera. It’s the photographer’s most important skill – to be able to connect with your clients, and not seeing them as that – but seeing deeper into who they are, what their strong points are, and what they would be able to bring to the shoot.
