31st December 2008 – Day 5 of our USA holiday!!!
Well it’s the last day of 2008!!! I woke up really early this morning and couldn’t go back to sleep – I was lying in bed thinking of what an awesome year it has been…..
It seems as if the year has flown by, yet when I think of everything that we’ve done this year and everything that has happened, it seems longer than just one year… I can remember sitting at home last new years eve on our patio at home (Demi was only 6 weeks old so we had a quiet new years eve at home) and I decided that 2008 would be a year of firsts for me – I wanted to be able to sit down on 31st Dec 2008 and know that I had done things I had never done before… and I am proud to say that I have!! I have had many firsts – not the least of which is raising 3 children – Demi is an absolute pleasure and a blessing to our family, but it certainly is no easy task raising 3 children.
We also started our photography business and it has done really well. I also started running and ran a 10km race for the first time ever! I also ran 15km for the first time ever. I also started yogay for the first time and did pilates for the first time… I lost weight and felt good in my body for the first time in many years…. We bought another property at work for the first time and renovated our offices for the first time… We also did The Prophecy course with Dr John Demartini as well as The Demartini Facilitator Training course for the first time…. I went on the zip slide at Sun City for the first time and went down the temple of courage for the first time…. I also started saving for the first time…!!!!
And we took our children overseas for the first time!!!
It has been a full and rewarding year – it has also been filled with lots of challenges which have pushed us to grow and to think out of the box….
So I find myself feeling very grateful today as I reflect on this past yearand somewhat fulfilled as I did do a lot of things that I wanted to do this year!
My wish for 2009 is to do something big – to think big and to act big on my dreams – my wish is also to make a difference and to serve in some way…. I want to build up our businesses and possibly start a few more, I want to save more than ever before, I want to build my wealth, improve my health, have fun with my children, love my husband and laugh more….. I am excited for 2009! Welcome to the new year – may it be a BIG one!!!!
On a side note, we went back to Islands of adventure this morning – Ryan and I went on The Incredible Hulk Roller coaster and man oh man!! what a ride! It was fantastic and just the right length – any longer and I might have been puking… Next we went on The Spider Man Ride – it must be the best ride I have ever been on - the new technology is incredible – it is 3D, interactive, roller coaster all combined – it was fantastic!
Then we took the kids back to Cat-in-the-Hat and Seuss landing to play for a while – we also went back to Marvel Super Hero Land and Popeye’s land again. The kids had a ball as usual. We left early to stock up on some more groceries and then home to relax before our party tonight to bring in the new year…
We are celebrating new year at Universal Studio’s City Walk tonight – it is going to be huge and we are really excited! The Doobie Brothers are performing and we get free entrance into all the clubs – it is going to be one massive street party with huge fireworks at midnight – what a way to bring in 2009!
Happy New Year to you all – may it be a big one for you all!!!
We truly LOVE our photo’s. They are just so GORGEOUS. All of our photographs turned out more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. They look amazing. You captured the feelings and the beauty in every photo. We had so many to choose from. Jordan is growing and changing so fast, but they truly capture that special time of when he was a newborn. Now that it's gone forever, I will always look at your pictures...
