About 2-3 weeks back I felt like taking some professional photos of food. I tried my hand at sushi and chocolate eclairs and let me tell you the pics weren’t at all bad
I think it is amazing when you put your mind to something the universe seems to bring it around to you. We’ve had a few enquiries regarding food photography which has made me photograph some more food over the past two days to add to our professional portfolio. Let me tell you, it is hard work. I used to be much more of a people photographer. People talk to you and they have their own personalities and mannerisms. Food on the other hand, really needs to be experienced with all the senses (you need to see the food, smell the rich aromas and finally taste the smooth textures), whereas in photography you have to capture this in a two dimensional format. Food doesn’t smile back at you… or make jokes with you, it lies on the plate alive with possibilities and its up to you to make it all come together in a symphony of lighting, composition and styling. Sometimes you may look at a photo and think it is really nice, you wont necessarily be able to tell me why it looks so good, but you’ll just have a feeling. Let me tell you it is because of a professional food photographer spending 45 mins to an hour working on the composotion and styling…
I’ve been having so much fun and I’ve literally spent hours drawing on my creativity. I’ve heard lots of people say that if you can photograph food you can photograph anything, I truly believe that! In other words, if you have a dream, YOU and ONLY YOU have to take that daunting first step to make it come true. Everything worth having or doing takes time and effort. Put your mind to it and you will see how quickly things start to turn your way

We truly LOVE our photo’s. They are just so GORGEOUS. All of our photographs turned out more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. They look amazing. You captured the feelings and the beauty in every photo. We had so many to choose from. Jordan is growing and changing so fast, but they truly capture that special time of when he was a newborn. Now that it's gone forever, I will always look at your pictures...
