It was Jordan Booysen’s Birthday Party yesterday and he had a campout at Rietvlei Farm. Needless to say the children had an absolute blast!!! What a lovely idea for a boys birthday party (for girls parties too I suppose as the girls had just as much fun as the boys…)

It started at 2pm yesterday afternoon, when everyone eagerly arrived and pitched their tents. The children were soooo excited.

Then they had a colouring in competition, followed by a really good game of soccer. Then the children rode their bikes and played with all the sticks. Around 4pm, they all went for a long walk through the veld and got covered in blackjacks. While all the big kids had gone for a walk, I played in the tent with Demi, Shaye and Kayla. They were so cute!!

Then it was time for them to start the fires and braai the boerewors. After supper, the fun really began because it got dark and the children were all running around playing with their torches. By this time, the moms and dads were also having great fun as the wine and beers were flowing…… It got a little cold alter on, but everyone was prepared with jackets and hot chocolate and of course, the children feel the cold at all!!! It was a lovely party! And today is Sam’s birthday – hope you have a good one Sam!!!
