canon 5D mark II at ISO 6400

So I finally got my new camera, the Canon 5D Mark II body with an EF 24mm-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens! And it rocks! I knew it was a good camera but I was blown away when I tried out the high ISO settings in the dark this evening. I took some amazing pics in really low light conditions and while there is a little noise at ISO 6400 the quality of the pics is still amazing! I was surprised to hear that the Canon 5Dmark II does not come with a pop-up flash but after taking these pics and playing around a little, there really is no need for a pop-up flash.

And I just love natural light!!! I have never really liked flash – don’t get me wrong, flash certainly has it’s place and can enhance many pics, but to me there is nothing nicer than the soft, warm light you get from natural light….. So I am officially in love with my new camera – well done Canon guys! You’ve outdone yourselves on this one!

The service at Woodstock was excellent. The gentleman I spoke to knew his subject and the product I was interested in. I purchased a Canon 5d mark ii camera which I had researched on the internet. I initially intended to purchase the camera at SA Camera, however I knew more about the product than they did and they tried to sell me a different camera that did not have the functionality I required. When I visited Woodstock limited, not only were they familiar with the product, but it was also cheaper. I subsequently purchased a flash gun for the camera, following advice from Woodstock Limited. The flash gun was cheaper than I could find it on the internet.
