It was recently my birthday, and as almost every year, I felt it an occasion to be celebrated – and this year we dressed up to a fun theme. I have always felt I wanted to have been an adult in the 50’s era, as I just love their way of dressing, and I had some of my girlfriends and I dress the part – and they didn’t disappoint me at all.

Being photographers of course and obviously, we wanted amazing pictures of this extravagant adventure, so we set up the studio at my house, in the garage. We have equipment which we can pack-up and take anywhere and have done numerous shoots at people’s homes, at corporate functions, at parties etc.

What an extremely fun night, and our trusty Canon 5D Mark II, did its job well. It can handle virtually any lighting situation well, and is a great studio camera, as it makes skin tones look natural and not have an underlying colourcast. I will definitely remember this night, because we looked great, but also because now I have such stunning photos to remember it by – which is what life is all about, capturing your memories through photos, making memories forever.
