The Boma Barnyard theatre is featuring the show Diamonds and Pearls which is a tribute to two great icons: Celine Dion & Neil Diamond. The show boasts with a 10 piece cast directed by Adrian Poulsen. It features Johan Liebenberg as Neil Diamond and Petru Liebenberg as Celine Dion with Nadine Sisam on other female vocals. It is definitely a musical extravaganza!! 

I especially like Petru’s voice, you know your really good when you can make a famous artist like Celine Dion’s songs sound great!  Petru took vocal training and singing lessons in Cape Town when she was younger.  Listening to all the different ways in which she can use her voice it is pretty obvious that she invests a lot of time and effort into her voice.  Your voice is a musical instrument like any other piano or violin it needs to be treated with care, respect and kept in shape by doing daily vocal exercises.

They perform hits like Beautiful Noise, A new day has come, Sweet Caroline and much more…!  This 2 hour show will get you out of your seat and dancing and singing the night away.

I had the privilege to watch this breathtaking show called diamonds and pearls with the woman at work function which was also held at The Boma Barnyard Theatre.  Every person in the cast has an amazing voice, good tone, loads of control and tons of passion.  I always say when your singing a song, it must sound like it happened to you, it’s the way you feel and if you put yourself into the song it will truly sound genuine. They are absolutely fantastic, their show moved me so much that I’m now going for vocal training lessons, which I wll tell you all about next week Wednesday as my lesson is on Tuesday.

I am so excited, can’t stop thinking about it!  A lot of people have asked me why I want to go for voice training lessons and the simple answer is that every now and again you have to pull your socks up and do something which you’ve always wanted to do for yourself. This makes the soul happy  This thing would be different for every single person but that’s why we’re called individuals…
