When doing a photoshoot take a moment to think about what it is you would like to have captured…  Here at LDP we do our absolute best and capture the essence of your family.  Meaning that if you have three young boys aged 8 and younger you must know that they will be boisterous, and energetic because boys tend to “feed on each other’s energy” (this does by no means say unmannered)  And if you have cute little girls your shoot will be all posey, playful and cute because this is the nature of girly girls.  It makes sense doesn’t it?

We also invite you to bring props along to the studio, items which represent your family.  If you have lots of brightly coloured cushions you can bring these along for a fun pillow fight, or maybe your family is more the rugby / football supporter – everyone has their own flag and respective jerseys kind of family.  Who ever you are, it’s your shoot so please feel free to come and make the most of it J

A popular request is people wanting to bring along their pets and we say the more the merrier.  We have done photoshoots with dogs ranging from Dachsunds, Yorkies, Labradors and King Charles Spaniels.  So you are more than welcome to bring your animal children to join in the fun.  (Please just ensure that you have notified the photographer beforehand)

 Funky family photos

The days of stiff, dull family photos are long gone – our studio, promises you one great time in the studio, with fun, interactive images, which will make you smile when you look back at them, and not cringe because they were so formal. Kids have this wonderful ability to grow real fast, and they go through these phases were they delightfully giggle when you tickle them, and turn into teenagers where their smiles come out with a bit more encouragement, and then they all suddenly leave the house and getting all your children together for a family photo is such a mission. Keeping track of how they change is how you’ll remember them best, and one special way to do that is by having a Family shoot done at our studio.

We always try our best to ensure families have photos they can laugh at, because they were able to laugh together. We’re fortunate to use good equipment, and not only will you get fond memories with your images, you have the guarantee that they were taken with professional gear, and is of good quality.

In post-production we ensure good colour and sharpness and make sure to add some effects so that you have interesting photos too.

Spontaneous family photography

The world is full of horrible things as it is, and whenever you might have the chance to have tremendous fun, rather you take that chance. A couple shoot with our studio, is one of the greatest times you’ll ever have, its bucket loads of joy.

We ultimately want each and every client to remember their shoot with a smile on their face, not matter how difficult their children were, or that Grandpa didn’t want to smile, there are special elements to every shoot, and every shoot consists out of delightful memories that you can look back on, shaking your head and remembering the madness. In a couple shoot we not only try and get the bond of the two people in the relationship present, we also try to get a bit of a humoristic view of them, something they’ll enjoy looking back at.

We us photographers become very closely linked to any subject we photograph, whether it be a piece of cake, or people, but people can respond and reciprocate and give you a piece of themselves as well.  Couple Photoshoots

We enjoy kids, for the most past because they are so brutally honest, they give you exactly what they feel at that moment, and if they aren’t keen on smiling, it would show.  This family’s Mom, has also visited us before, with her youngest child, as she had taken photos with each of her children at about 3-4 years of age, and wanting to create that special memory with him as well. This time she brought all three great kids for a shoot, and what a fantastic bunch.

These are the types of kids that make our job such a joy, because they smiled when I asked them, and pulled faces, and pulled dad’s ear, and enjoyed themselves. They are certainly very happy, healthy kids, and I loved their energy in the studio, With three kids, it seems to buzz in there, as it is full of the magic kids seems to carry with them as they run around chaotically, but it’s what we live for, and what we d would be very boring if we didn’t have these little ones to brighten up our days.

We guarantee our clients that even if your kids are a bit inhibited we would about stand on our heads to make them smile, and we do our best to entertain them, and clown around to get those lovely giggles.

Kiddies and their photoshoots

Bringing doggies with to your shoot, makes for such interesting images, as dogs have much love to give,        they just slobber you with their beautiful kisses. They also run around like crazy, and it’s a crazy time in the studio to get those little four-legged creatures to sit still for a few photos.

We enjoy them so much though, and have had many different kinds of dogs brought to the studio, and each time we get to see the bond they share with their owners, and because they are part of your family, they must certainly get to have awesome photos taking of them.

A unique shoot, depends on how our clients went all out and brought stuff to make their shoot extra special. Doggies are the ultimate, fantastic addition, and if you have great dogs who are as much a  part of your family as your children, or of you don’t have children yet, be just LIKE your own children, come and bring them around for a fun photo shoot, we’ll make sure to make them look extra glamorous.

Doggie photography

All of our clients comment on how fabulous our jobs must be. And although it is like any other with its drawback and benefits, it certainly has the most amazing perks, with the honestly and sincerity that little kids bring – definitely being one of them.

Kids bring their ultimate selves to a shoot, and a kid who isn’t feeling well on the day, will show you such. They always give hundred percent of themselves, and because there is nothing sweeter than the sincere smile of a child, we do everything but about stand on our heads to get them to smile.

Our studio do what we’d like to call interactive posing, where we get the whole family present, to join into the shoot, by doing a lot of tickling and joking around to get those giggles out of them. When we grow up, somewhere along the line we lose that innocent way of just being. Kids are such a big source of joy to us, and we enjoy shoots with them tremendously. This year alone, we have done close to two hundred family shoots, which means we got to meet a whole new bunch of people, with their amazing kids. Many people enquire about props, where we kindly advise them that our studio try and work in the way where we get everyone in the family involved in our shoots. Those genuine, sincere, real laughs we want to try and have come from lots of tickles, and daddies wrestling with their kiddies, and siblings giggling at each other, and them pulling faces at each other. We do a lot of interactive posing, as to give you a unique shooting experience and have each family images that are true to them, and not posed with studio props.

Especially little boys are just oozing bundles of energy and we many times just have to get them in the go, as they come running past in whirlwinds. With our new studio, we have quite a bigger space, ad kids just love to run around in there, getting rid of some bundled up energy. We always try and have their parents do with them, as they would do at home – just to play and laugh and wrestle and tickle, and we clown around just as much, which gets great smiles out of them as they probably wonder who these strangers ladies are that are performing so much. We want to give you photos that connect with each other, which speak to you, and make you remember your kids’ phases and stages as they get older.
