It’s matric farewell time and let me tell you it has turned into quite an affair…

Nothing gets overlooked, exotic nail designs,  hair styles worthy of weddings and matric dance dresses designed by Simon Rademan, Nina Couture and the likes! Cheese and wine functions at home for the whole family and close friends to congratulate and share in this big day and don’t forget the flashy cars like Mercedes SLS to take you to this dream evening.

I had the privilege of sharing this special day with the Moodley family and they made me feel SO at home J  I was immediately given something cold to sip on and samoosas to eat (homemade and delicious)

We made use of their beautiful foyer (with white chairs to show off the beautiful elegance of her dress) to capture some detail shots of her beautiful dress and hairstyle.  As soon as the  sun had dropped a little lower we used the opportunity to do some photos outside at the water feature and some with the car of course.

Pro matric dance photos

In all fairness, I do not consider myself that old at all, but I find it such a joy to photograph youngsters when they come for their matric dance photos by us, as it brings back so much fantastic memories, and I can still remember those last few moments of school, just wanting that hard work of the past 12 years to be over already. It’s celebrated with such a great event, an event where everyone gets to dress up in their very best, and enjoy an evening of dancing and fun.

Ending of your school career in such a way, is quite prestigious and doing it in the best possible way, by having a professional photoshoot done at LDP studio, will capture all of the last past years, into one great shoot. The images also show the amount of effort that went into the planning of those amazing outfits, and if the two people going together are indeed a couple, they have this electric atmosphere between them, of the anticipation of the evening lying ahead brought on.

We encourage all couples to have a shoot done before your special event, as it will be professionally done, and have you enjoy the evening without worrying whether someone will capture you at least once looking your best. Matric dance photos

Any event is being held for some sort of significant reason, to either celebrate a significant occurrence, like a milestone or special birthday, or it can be in the shape of conferences or seminars that are being held to inform a group of people about a certain product, or growth of some sort for example. LDP was the photographers for the famous Baby Sense Seminar’s, sponsored by Johnson’s & Johnson’s. These seminars are held over the country as great informative workshops for expecting parents.

Baby Sense provided a whole day of interesting and needy information, which were able to apt new-, or expectant parents on all the important ways of caring for- and providing in the needs of new babies. Event photography requires good equipment, as they are mostly held in conference rooms- or halls, which does not always provide for natural light, and have mostly tungsten lighting set-ups. High-end cameras provide enough detail and good quality images still in those conditions. When used with a good camera flash, we are still able to have correctly lit crowds and speakers.

Our studio has been photographing events for years, and we know what to look for, and what might be important to event coordinators. We also make sure to get the right information needed from the person in charge so that we understand their brief correctly, so that we’re able to provide our clients with the best product.

Most companies hold events for various reason, sometimes it’s part of a teambuilding initiative, sometimes it’s to honour many staff members who had produced well during the year – whatever reason, your company’s annual event, year-end function, etc, is usually the sort of thing that bring the company together, it’s recollection a year that had gone by, and companies want pictures of these events, as it’s symbolic to what they had achieved. When you have an event, it’s usually to celebrate or for an annual get-together, and especially when it’s a birthday, it’s a celebration of another blessed year spared, and memories made so far. A birthday is such a fun event to photograph, as all the people are in such great spirits and the person whose birthday it is, walks around in a euphoric state with everyone wishing them happy birthday and more great things to come.

At many birthday parties, we have seen that it’s a fun and exciting trend to have a photo booth set-up for crazy photos. During the evening people converse and chat and have a great time with each other, but when the photo booth is set-up, they have a chance to let loose a bit, and even get into a different character.
