matric dance photography

Aisha and I have been discussing various ideas and packages for her matric dance photos.  Can you believe their house is only a couple of blocks down the road from the studio… Lucky me :-)   One thing you have to remember when you do matric dance photography is to capture they beauty if this girl who has now become a woman and don’t forget all the detail on her beautiful dress or the lovely golden shoes.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love our CANON 5D mkii?!  I absolutely adore it, the way in which it handles low light conditions so well makes beautiful images (see above)  possible.  It just looks so retro and really makes you feel like you are sitting inside the limo along with them.  It was quite chilly outside so we opted for taking more photos inside the house and limo which gave the photos a totally different feel as opposed to photos taken outside with scenery in the background.

Aisha had a whole lot of her family over to look at her dress and lend a helping hand (I asked her if she had invited them especially, and she answered:”We’re Indian my whole family is always here…  I just had to laugh)  If you are looking for a way to remember this beautiful event look no further. We offer affordable matric dance photography packages.

Matric Dance Photography

When I think of this morning, words like Hola, Buenos Dias, Gracias and Adios come to mind…  Yes, the Mexican soccer team arrived in South-Africa today and we were part of the team greeting them at Thaba Ya Batswana.  We

feel very privileged and grateful for this opportunity.  Thaba Ya Batswana welcomed the Mexicans with open arms, they had some true African dancers & a singer welcome this amazing football team at their new home

during the world cup.  Some of the Thaba Ya Batswana staff even showed theses amazing football players how to do the Traditional African handshake (If you are South-African you know exactly what I’m talking about)  We

cannot wait for the world cup to start and to show the world exactly what an amazing country South-Africa truly is.  Adios amigos…!

Matric dance… these two words bring back so many beautiful memories!  I am not a princess kind of girl, rather give me a 4×4 and take me out camping in the bush and I will die a happy person J  So with this sentence it is natural to presume that when my matric dance came up there was a lot of “first-times” involved.  It was the first time I had proper make-up

done for going out (not really a fan of make-up), the “first-time” that I had acrylic French manicured nails and it was also the first time that many of my schoolfriends didn’t recognise me at all.  They literally walked right past me and freaked out when they realised that it was me…  I am sure your matric dance will be just as memorable as mine (even more so)  This is your moment to shine in so many ways, the chance to show everyone that you can also really look absolutely gorgeous!  Professional matric dance photos is the perfect way to

preserve these memories so that you can remember every single detail that you have been planning for months (and share it with your kids some day).  From the beaded straps which are draped over your shoulders right through to the shoes which are absolutely to die for.  If you would like to see some of our work (even if it is just to take a peek at the other girl’s gorgeous dresses ;-) contact us on info@louisedieselphotography.co.za or give us a call at our studio on 011 869 7759.

Walking up to The Venue in Melrose Arch you see a red carpet laid out leading you into the majestic entrance…  Your head keeps moving every which way because THE Venue is very aptly named.  The designs and lighting are absolutely magnificent!  The next thing you see after the red

carpet is a big “mesh-like” dome which is lit from the inside and this is only the beginning.  The Venue at Melrose Arch has an upstairs lounge and downstairs hall complete with a stage set-up.  What more can you want…?  :-)   So the scene is set in black and white tables and chairs with

candles and lovely flowers aon the tables.  Now the man of the moment arrives in his new (stunning)  Bentley.  “L”, “V” and their gorgeous kids are

dressed to the nines and ready for the party of the century.  Being a Portuguese family the function only starts 30 min later (or more) than

planned… (but they say good things come to those who wait)  “L”s two boys made the most precious speech to their dad (and considering that
they are like roundabout 5 and 8 it was a magical moment)  Father G who married “L” & “V” as well as christened both their boys said a few

precious words which I am sure no one will forget any time soon…  L and the boys went backstage to meet Jesse Clegg, get their cd’s signed

and get their photos taken with him.  And then it was time for Jesse Clegg to get everybody up and moving their bodies!  Let me tell you Jesse

Clegg is an awesome live performer.  It is amazing to see, when he is speaking over the mike he gets very shy but the moment the music plays and he starts singing it all goes away.  He submerses himself in the music.  I get Goosebumps just thinking about hearing Jesse Clegg singing

acoustic songs…  What an unforgettable night!

Woman at work started off with a bang this year!  Seeing that it is the month of Valentine’s day it was themed for the love of…  Louise Diesel shared some of her wisdom about loving what you do and doing what you love.  Let’s start with the definition of love.  (Basically liking

someone / something without judgement including “the good” and “the bad”)  Let’s use loving a spouse as an example.  In the beginning you fall in love with the perfect man, everything about it is just so right.  This is infatuation.  After a while you start noticing that it isn’t exactly as perfect

as you thought but it is still good.  Adn this is real love, pain and pleasure.  There are lots of people who don’t love what they do because they are clinging to a fantasy that something else (anything else for that matter) will be much better than what they have right now. (infatuation with another occupation / job etc)  So instead at looking at all the negative things start asking different questions like how does this “negative aspect /

scenario” serve me in my life.  Start being grateful for the things that you have instead of sulking about the things you don’t have (or make a plan to acquire those skills / that job / or the life that you want) but stop feeling sorry for yourself.  The charity for this month was The Door of Hope

in Glenvista.  They literaly have a door in the wall where mom’s can leave their babies and they will be loved and placed into adpotive homes.  It
was really wonderful seeing so many new faces at this event, because every new cycle brings along change.  Ladies I have been to all past 12

events and after seeing everything that has happened so far and how much your initiative has grown, I can only wait in anticipation to see what the rest of this year has in store…

top commercial photographersWe started this year off with a bang!!!  Commercial and corporate photoshoots, add to that a bit of PRO-AM golf photography and a gorgeous baby or two and you have a basic idea of our first week of 2010.  Aon Benfield asked us to come through and photograph some of their brokers

commercial photographers

so that they could use these pics on reports and company related paperwork.  I would recommend this to any company who thinks of themslelves of professional.  If you can’t even take the time to have proper staff and profile photos taken of your employees what is your service

aon benfield brokers

like?  Great commercial photos of your staff members shows prospective clients that you give attention to the small details as well as being very professional.  Most people are slightly nervous in front of a camera so try and schedule your sessions so that every individual gets at least 15-20

commercial photography on location

mins with the photographer.  This gives both parties concerned time to get used to each other and relaxed in front of the camera.  Your company boardroom is an ideal location to take these photos and it normally gives a wide range of “backgrounds”.    Look at these results and decide for yourself.  For more info contact us on info@louisedieselphotography.co.za

We truly LOVE our photo’s. They are just so GORGEOUS. All of our photographs turned out more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. They look amazing. You captured the feelings and the beauty in every photo. We had so many to choose from. Jordan is growing and changing so fast, but they truly capture that special time of when he was a newborn. Now that it's gone forever, I will always look at your pictures...
