The universe works in its own special way which we will never fully understand….  I love food photography and so we added some delicious food photos to our portfolio last year.  We then got a call from Cubbs (they make dip for chips) and they asked us to photograph some of their products which will then go onto their new packaging (As soon as you put your mind to something and add a little

effort you will soon see the universe shifting that way for you).  Make sure you are ready so that opportunities that come your way can be 100% utilised.  If you have ever been present at any kind of food photography shoot you will know that it takes a lot of hard work and patience to get the shot just right…  In general I am not a really patient person, but when it comes to photography I immerse myself in it.  The only thing that matters is to get the right shot.  It’s like I zone out and go onto my own little planet where the only thing which exists is the photography and that is exactly why we are top food photographers.

Commercial Photography covers a really wide field of photography.  It can be anything from photographing people to photographing the offices of  big corporate companies.

This specific commercial photoshoot was done for a big insurance company called AON Benfield.  The brief was to photograph all 12 brokers in interesting and different poses.  The photos are to be used in briefs and company related forums.  As you can see the photoshoot was done at their offices and was extremely successful.  If you are looking at revamping your company’s image you are more than welcome to give us a call on 011 869 7759 or email on info@louisedieselphotography.co.za.

Roedean School for Girls (SA) contacted us to take some commercial photographs of the school.  The brief was” Inspiring a life of significance”  As you can see all the girls in the photos are silhouetted giving the photos the feel that it could be any girl in the world attending this heritage-filled school.

We thoroughly enjoyed the this new challenge to be very creative within  a school environment and would reccomend commercial photography to anyone out there.  Then there was also the element of working together closely with some of the pupils and teachers of the school and I would

like to thank the science teachers and the Nicky down at St Margaret’s (GR1) for all their effort in helping us out with everything from blue chemicals in test tubes to getting the “littlies” to hang upside down on the monkey bars.  As commercial photographers we love the challenge of

following every brief to the tee (and then add a little bit of creative flair) so that we can provide the client with an excellent product at the end of the day.

We did a photoshoot for a big corporate client called CFT labels last week.  They print self-adhesive labels and that is exactly what we went to photograph in stores in big shopping centres in JHB.  They supply labels to a wide variety of clients including ALL-JOY foods, Revlon and Almay.

When doing a commercial photoshoot it is really important to get a clear brief from your client as to what exactly they are looking to use the photos for?  Do they want the photos done professionaly in studio or do they want their product photographed in stores and plan your lighting accordingly.  Ideally you would want someone from the corporate company with you while photographing so that you can shoot that winning shot that they have in mind…

We started this year off with a bang!!!  Commercial and corporate photoshoots, add to that a bit of PRO-AM golf photography and a gorgeous baby or two and you have a basic idea of our first week of 2010.  Aon Benfield asked us to come through and photograph some of their brokers

so that they could use these pics on reports and company related paperwork.  I would recommend this to any company who thinks of themslelves of professional.  If you can’t even take the time to have proper staff and profile photos taken of your employees what is your service

like?  Great commercial photos of your staff members shows prospective clients that you give attention to the small details as well as being very professional.  Most people are slightly nervous in front of a camera so try and schedule your sessions so that every individual gets at least 15-20

mins with the photographer.  This gives both parties concerned time to get used to each other and relaxed in front of the camera.  Your company boardroom is an ideal location to take these photos and it normally gives a wide range of “backgrounds”.    Look at these results and decide for yourself.  For more info contact us on info@louisedieselphotography.co.za
