Taking photos of babies is one of my favourite disciplines of photography… (It’s like my guilty pleasure)  When they get to about 12 weeks old they start smiling at you and making little gurgling sounds as soon as they see they can get some attention from it  

They have now become interactive and all you need to do to get them to smile is make funny noises and smile back at them, as easy as that.  It often happens that they will smile at you and the moment you bring the camera closer they stop smiling… Why?  This is because you are breaking eye contact.  They can’t “see” you anymore and they don’t understand why so they stop smiling.  So we often take our camera, look through the viewfinder and focus the camera, and then hold our faces right next to it so that we can interact with baby as well as capture that perfect shot.

Not all babies are easy to photograph at this age though, as they are starting to recognise faces and and you are unfamiliar to them, so to bypass this we start them with photos where mom or dad are holding them.  This gives your little angel some time to get used to the studio, the lights and this “new” person.  Once they have become more comfortable with their new surroundings, we get the shots where they are by themselves.  Lastly,  try to always schedule your baby photoshoot to slot into their routine.  When they have had their nap and their tummies are full is normally a good time

Babies give us such joy, because when they get to that stage just before they get their actual teeth, but they already have some personality, they tend to give you these gummy smiles, and it’s something that only makes your heart melt. Little kids rule the world, and they will only smile if they feel like it. So many people show us photos of these babies at homes giving the biggest smiles, and when they are in the studio, they tend to be out of their comfort zone some, and the smiles do not come so easily. We do everything but about stand on our head to get them to smile, and we get great results with our shoots, as these are natural smiles, and special moments of baby.

They really grow very fast, it’s from the one stage to the next, and one should capture these little milestones of theirs, and what better to do that than to have professional photographs of baby. We understand that your kid might not quite know what is going on, with strangers trying to get them to smile, but we really entertain them with all sorts of sports.

Babies go through the cutest phases, and we enjoy them all. Some babies just have these dashing smiles, and it’s priceless to catch this on camera. Children have this amazing way of just growing way too fast, before we know it they are our height or taller and they have the most cunning things they say. But before all of that, they were waddling babies who had two teeth and big bright eyes.

Our studio has seen numerous families with the most adorable babies come for photo shoots, and it’s always a great idea, because we get to use our skills to make families relax in front of the camera, and do about all but stand on our heads to get little one to smile.

We do what we call Real Life Photography, wanting our families to completely be themselves, relax, and just enjoy their time here, by playing with the kids, dad’s wrestling the boys, cousins giggling together – it all makes for a job which we love doing, because working with all these different kinds of people is very rewarding. Babies have cute expressions, cute little hands, cute little smiles and they can’t seem to do anything wrong.  We want to capture that amazing phases of them, while they still spontaneously give them, that’s we try and make all our clients as comfortable as possible in the studio, a space that can sometimes intimidate people a great deal.

Everyone wants good photos of themselves or their children, but few people are completely relaxed in front of the camera. Our clients end up feeling like family after their shoots, as we get the chance to see how they interact some, what their relationship with their children is, at what age the children are and how different they react because of it. It’s a joy to be part of all of it, and we try and fall into step with the family’s sense of being.

Babies, more so than any other person at any age, give big, gummy smiles, they laugh in a way that it sounds like bells and they are pure perfection. They grow so fast though, and it’s always a great idea to capture who they, when they are at that stage.

Babies will always have this amazing ability to be cute, and they go through the most beautiful phases with only two bottom teeth, or stunning smiles and expressions, and they grow way too fast out of them again. One of the most extraordinary phenomena’s here by us, is seeing small children or babies, or a mommy with a beautiful pregnant tummy – and you get to see that newborn when they present themselves, or babies already older and doing so much more like crawling or walking, and a few months later, that kid has grown something tremendous.

It’s lovely to capture those little smiles, and we try our best to get baby to give them to us, so we encourage all parents to bring little one for their own special photoshoot, or we make sure to entertain them when we do a whole family shoot, so that some smiles can be captured. Friendly babies make any heart melt, and no grandparent will leave the parents alone if they knew stunning photos were taken of their precious grandchildren.

With family shoots, many grandparents come along, and it’s very special to get the generations together for a shoot, and one can see so much of yourself in the little ones. Professional Baby Photography

Many people ask the same question when they enquire about modeling photos or modeling portfolios – if they don’t quite know what to do, will the photographer be able to direct them into what to do, and how to pose? The answer is definitely yes. When we studied photography, all care is taken to having it drilled into us how lighting works, and how to use the human shape, to make appealing pictures.

It takes a while for most people to relax in the studio – the big white backdrop might be a tad overwhelming, and the idea of a camera in your face, makes many people quite anxious. We try everything in our ability to make you feel relaxed in front of the camera, and to assure you that your final product will nothing less than amaze you.

Louise Diesel Photography Studio, in Randhart Alberton, is called the Life Studio for a few reasons – because not only do we get to take part in the capturing of all the people who walk through our doors’ memories, but it’s also, because photography is the most integral part of our lives here, it’s what we breathe, and it always give us great joy to photograph people and their lives.

Portrait Photography

Easter in the southern hemisphere is when the trees start turning all sorts of wonderful colours because autumn is upon us, and the winter soon thereafter, which only means lovely fireplaces, hot chocolate and snuggly blankets.  Our Easter special is for all our clients, because even though the cold is creeping up on us, we’re not going anywhere and will still continue to do what we do.

It involves normal photo shoots like any other; the only great difference is the discount of 20% off of any shoot booked for the month of April. All care and effort would be taken to still make it a great, professional experience for all our clients, and you would still get your beautifully edited photographs and high-res cd from us, something few studios offer.

Our studio can be heated up, or cooled down as the season, or little babies for that matter, requires it, so no need to worry when bring little kiddies our to us, that you will freeze in the studio, it will be cozy and warm, so we’ll get to see everyone in April!!
