7th January 2009 – Pirates Cove & Sea World
We had a beautiful day today – we slept late (yaaay!!) then took the boys to play Putt Putt at Pirates Cove on International Drive (they have been nagging to play putt putt since the day we arrived)
And I think they were more excited about the putt putt than anything else on the entire holiday!!! Jamie started with a hole-in-one and was very chuffed – Mikey had a few after that too (but that’s not mentioning that they have 3 or 4 “redo’s” on each hole first…) Mikey kept telling me that he was taking the lead, but they eventually agreed that it was a tie!
Then we went back to Sea World – it was really cool as it was really empty. It rained earlier and was quite cool so I’m not sure if that is why ot was so empty, but we weren’t complaining. We got to see & do all the things we couldn’t do the first time we went. We went to see the sharks at the Shark Encounter, we visited the penguins and murres and played with the baby dolphins in the
dolphin nursery.
We also went to watch the dolphin show, called “Blue Skies” which is a very unusual dolphin show….
It ha a cirque de soleil theme and they have acrobats sweeping the skies as well as birds and of course… dolphins! It was good though Ryan wasn’t too impressed (these Diesel men have no culture…. ha ha)
Then Ryan and Jamie went back on “Journey to Atlantis” and got soaked again – we had to buy Jamie some new shorts as it was getting quite cold. Then we were off to the Shamu Stadium to watch the show “Believe” again (last time the mother whales were not in the mood for doing the show and so we missed the first part of the show) It was beautiful to watch in the evening – the lights were beautiful and the sunset was so awesome, it didn’t look real!
Finally, we took the boys to play games and they both won teddy’s – Jamie won a huge dolphin and Mikey won a Nemo teddy and then I won “Squirt” the baby turtle in nemo… They were so happy…. Now we are home waiting for our pizzas to arrive – the boys are in bed watching Hannah montanna and have their teddies all around them, it’s so cute!

9:22pm (2 hours later) – boys are asleep (dems is still awake though…. she just wants to play all the time these days, but I think she heard all the excitement earlier on and that kept her up) We finally managed to speak to granny and grandad tonight and it was so exciting! The boys got to show them all their new teddies that they’ve won and tell them all about Disney world… and of course call grandad a moegeo (which is their term of endearment for each other) I even got to speak to Uncle Jimmy and found out he is coming to visit us in SA at the end of Jan – can’t wait to see him again!!! Been missing my mom and dad so it was really nice to speak to them again – can’t wait to see you guys again – love you tons! Weez mwah!!!
