Your wedding day is the day that you have been dreaming about since you got engaged, and quite possibly, since you were a child. The event of a wedding typically entails much forethought and organization. Due to that, you want to be sure that you are happy with your wedding photography. Because good wedding shots are meant to capture the event for all time, you want to be sure that those pictures are completely thrilling and enduring to look at. There are many different styles of wedding photography out there so it is essential that when choosing your wedding photographer you know what kinds you like and dislike.
You are probably accustomed to the traditional type of Wedding Photography. While it is not currently the most popular style of wedding photography, this style is timeless. Typically, it is made up of posed group photos and individual portraits. Behind the traditional wedding photography style is a strict list of all the photos you think you want. The classic style of photography is not fashionable at the present time but if it’s what you want then go for it. You may well be able to incorporate more than one style of shooting during your day. While you may opt for the photojournalism style, your family may expect and want to see some traditional style and posed shots. No matter what you choose or how you choose it, you need to remember that these shots are going to record your wedding day and what you want is most important. Moreover, this form of photography will help create a memorable and appealing album in a classic style.
The photo journalistic style is one of the most popular type of wedding photography at the moment. Certain pictures can be produced to be more abstract and flexible. The photographer will try and record the day without intruding resulting in beautiful natural shots of you and your guests. You will find that with a photo journalistic photographer you may not want some of traditional poses.
Another popular style in wedding photography is the contemporary photograph . With it, the photographer usually finds locations to shoot that have great light and background images. Perhaps the best thing about this type of photography is that the images will create buzz and excitement. On the downside contemporary photography can date badly making it a decision you may regret in the future.
One of the most important parts of your wedding day experience is the photographs . Be sure you get what you want. If you choose your wedding photographer carefully you can ensure that this happens.
10th Jan – Magic Kingdom
Oh how I love Disney World!!! We went back to Magic Kingdom yesterday and had another fantastic day!
Ryan & I went on the big Thunder Mountain Railroad roller coaster and Space Mountain – which was a little disappointing after years of waiting for this amazing ride! Also, nothing can really compare to The Incredible Hulk roller coaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure….
Then we went on Buzz Lightyear again – the boys went on 4 times!!! They love it so much (though Jamie ended up in tears as his score was consistently low and he hates to lose!! The boys are going through an unbelievable competitive streak and I fear it will only end…. probably never!)
We also went on The Steam Train around the whole of Disney which was really cool, flew around on Aladdin’s Magic Carpet ride and went on a sea voyage with the Pirates of The Caribbean.
This was really cool (apparently the movie was based on the ride) After that, we were lucky enough to meet Captain Jack Sparrow and we even became part of his honorary crew!!
He even taught us how to fight and flee, hit them once, hit them twice (with the sword of course), poke them in the belly then point and say: “Look there’s the governor’s daughter!” and when he turns around to look, you flee!! Of course, the boys loved this too!
We also went on Tomorrowland’s Indy Speedway – this is a fantastic ride where you drive cars around
a track – an adult handles the accelerator and brakes and the little ones steer…. thank goodness the car can’t go off the track too far as a metal rail stops you from going too far – or we would have had a big problem! I drove with Mikey and we were bumping back and forth from the extreme left to the extreme right and back again! I dread the day we have to start teaching him to drive….
We watched the parade at 3pm which the boys loved – they just love to see all the Disney characters from their favourite movies like Lilo & Stitch, Chip and Dale, Donald, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy, Mickey, Minnie, Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, Peter Pan and Wendy, Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother and on and on and on….
Mikey and Jamie have also decided that they are the new professional photographers of the family and love
taking pics with the Sony Cyber shot – Mikey is actually really good and insists on taking a pic over and over again until he has a good composition – I am quite impressed. He even impressed the professional Disney Photographer at the parade yesterday…. They now want to know how to work the Canon 40D camera but I am not sure I will let them use that camera just yet….
Last night, Ryan and I went for dinner at a lovely place just outside the resort called ‘Houlihans’ – there was a wonderful man from St Lucia singing and of course Ryan and I ended up dancing (even though there was no dance floor or no-one else dancing – ha ha)
I had grilled chicken and veges and it was the first meal we have eaten here (besides our own home cooked food) that is not smothered in fat and oil! It was really good – and so nice to have vegetables for a change… I really don’t understand how The Americans eat all this junk food!!!
We had a lovely evening and it was good to spend some time alone with each other…. that all changed at 3am when Demi decided to wake up and not go back to sleep.
At first, I thought she had ear ache but after some strong pain medicine and a bottle and a nappy change and an hour later, she was just ready to play games! She is so cute but it gets a bit much at 4 in the morning!!! So we ended up taking her for a drive in the car at 4am in the morning (it was freezing!) just to get her to sleep. It took 20 minutes! and reminded me of when Jamie was a baby – we did the same thing with him sometimes…
Anyway, we got to sleep really late this morning – 8am! Yaay! Today we are going back to Epcot,
we are just going to chill in some foreign country!!! Sounds good to me….
So we ended up going shopping today instead of Epcot – we went to Prime Outlet (which is the old Belz Factory outlet – thought of you dad and all the shopping we did there years ago!!)
It is huge and the boys got quite bored as there are no toy stores or psp game stores there….. We bought a few gifts in the Disney store and then went to Florida mall to get the boys a psp game (we have been promising them that they could get something for over a week now, so they were very happy – they got the Spiderman 3 game!)

9th Jan 09
Yesterday we went to Disney’s Hollywood studios and it was the coolest! Where the Magic Kingdom is full of magic and wonder,
Hollywood Studios is full of action and adventure! Just perfect for my boys!!!
This is Mikey and Jamie’s account of the day:
First we went to watch High School Musical 3 and that was so fun! Then we went to get a photo
with Pluto AND Goofy and then we met Chip and Dale and they acted like Hulk cos I was wearing Hulk.
It was funny! Next we went on the Woody ride – Mikey says he won the shooting. You have to shoot the targets… It was awesome, awesome!
Then we went to watch Mickey Playhouse and we saw Handy Many, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Toodles and Rocket – so fun….
After that we saw the Animation of Disney and learnt how they make Disney animated movies.
Then we learnt to draw Mickey and we drew our very our cartoon of Mickey to take home. Then
we met the real Mickey and had photos with him.
Jamie says the best thing was that he had chocolate milk in our frosties for breakfast which was yummmy!
Then we went to Indiana Jones – they shoot, they fight – it’s cool, then the car stunt show which
is so cool, then the 3D Muppetvision – they shot canons!!
Then we watched Fantasmic! Mickey’s bad dream and the light vs dark show – it ws scary nice, nice
scary and both the same in one movie (says Jamie). It was a laser and light show that was just incredible!
The boys have had enough of this now so I will fill in the details later today when we get back
from Magic Kingdom today….
7th January 2009 – Pirates Cove & Sea World
We had a beautiful day today – we slept late (yaaay!!) then took the boys to play Putt Putt at Pirates Cove on International Drive (they have been nagging to play putt putt since the day we arrived)
And I think they were more excited about the putt putt than anything else on the entire holiday!!! Jamie started with a hole-in-one and was very chuffed – Mikey had a few after that too (but that’s not mentioning that they have 3 or 4 “redo’s” on each hole first…) Mikey kept telling me that he was taking the lead, but they eventually agreed that it was a tie!
Then we went back to Sea World – it was really cool as it was really empty. It rained earlier and was quite cool so I’m not sure if that is why ot was so empty, but we weren’t complaining. We got to see & do all the things we couldn’t do the first time we went. We went to see the sharks at the Shark Encounter, we visited the penguins and murres and played with the baby dolphins in the
dolphin nursery.
We also went to watch the dolphin show, called “Blue Skies” which is a very unusual dolphin show….
It ha a cirque de soleil theme and they have acrobats sweeping the skies as well as birds and of course… dolphins! It was good though Ryan wasn’t too impressed (these Diesel men have no culture…. ha ha)
Then Ryan and Jamie went back on “Journey to Atlantis” and got soaked again – we had to buy Jamie some new shorts as it was getting quite cold. Then we were off to the Shamu Stadium to watch the show “Believe” again (last time the mother whales were not in the mood for doing the show and so we missed the first part of the show) It was beautiful to watch in the evening – the lights were beautiful and the sunset was so awesome, it didn’t look real!
Finally, we took the boys to play games and they both won teddy’s – Jamie won a huge dolphin and Mikey won a Nemo teddy and then I won “Squirt” the baby turtle in nemo… They were so happy…. Now we are home waiting for our pizzas to arrive – the boys are in bed watching Hannah montanna and have their teddies all around them, it’s so cute!

9:22pm (2 hours later) – boys are asleep (dems is still awake though…. she just wants to play all the time these days, but I think she heard all the excitement earlier on and that kept her up) We finally managed to speak to granny and grandad tonight and it was so exciting! The boys got to show them all their new teddies that they’ve won and tell them all about Disney world… and of course call grandad a moegeo (which is their term of endearment for each other) I even got to speak to Uncle Jimmy and found out he is coming to visit us in SA at the end of Jan – can’t wait to see him again!!! Been missing my mom and dad so it was really nice to speak to them again – can’t wait to see you guys again – love you tons! Weez mwah!!!
Epcot
6th January 2009
Yesterday we went to Epcot and loved it as always – this is Ryan’s version of the day:
There were hot chicks all around whether you were in China, Turkey or ….. (no just kidding)
The Nemo ride is awesome! Mikey loved it so much he wanted to go again! I think it’s because the second time around he knows what to expect so he can enjoy it more!!!
The aquarium at the Nemo ride is also really cool and we loved the dolphins and the manatees! The gardens outside are also really beautiful!
From there we went Imagination Land and the ride with Figment. Jamie loved this ride but not the smell of the skunk! Demi loved the bright colours and loud noises and Mikey thought it was very funny!
None of them really found the next show funny (including their mom)
It was “Honey I shrunk the audience” – it was very scary and I am so glad I am not that small….
Then we went to Innoventions and the boys took part in a game show called “What’s your problem?”
- they had to build a tower with velcro pieces (they actually won but because it’s Disney world
they called it a tie – every competition there ends in a tie…. our boys were not too impressed ha ha)
Next we stopped at all the inventions and it was really cool to see how far we’ve come – the boys
orchestrated a series of robots to play musical instruments – they loved it! Then we stopped at Kidcot
to make a Kim Possible pyramid.
Then we went on a boat trip through 3 greenhouses and a fish farm and Jamie said: “I am quite impressed!”
WE decided we are going to start our own vegetable garden at home and inject it with evil genius science
potion, so we can rule the world…. It was actually a cool ride all about new ways of farming – we saw lemons
growing the size of soccer balls and tomatoes growing from trees….
After a rest and a few snacks, we decided to go to The World Showcase! We caught the ferry across to France where we saw Beauty and The Beast and then we checked out the Eiffel Tower in France.
Next we had lunch in America as the Bud’s looked good (and that’s about it) Then we watched an All American show and an olden day American marching band which the boys enjoyed!
After that, we went on a voyage on a cool viking ship in Norway, had a Chinese beer in China and watched
a cool show of Chinese acrobats, watched a brilliant slapstick comedy show called “Romeo and Edna”
in Italy, had Ice cream in the outpost, visited Mexico and then went shopping at The Mickey Gear shop
for a toy for the boys – what a job! It took them half an hour to choose a toy!!!
Then we went on “Test Track” – it was very cool – just like driving with Louise on prozac (she drives
a lot faster than they do) that is until the end – it was really fast and really cool! Then we came home!

It was an awesome day and we were absolutely exhausted at the end! So today we slept late and are going to Seaworld tonight to watch the laser shows!! Can’t wait….. and see Shamu again

5th January 09 – Animal Kingdom
We went to Disney World’s Animal Kingdom today – it is new (or at least it wasn’t here when we came 14 years ago) so we hadn’t been there before. It was wonderful – true to everything which is Disney!
Fist up, we went to a 3D show called “It’s a tough life to be a bug!” hosted by Flik from A Bugs Life – it was really cute and a little creepy especially when all the bugs ran behind us at the end of the show (haha). Next we went flying in the Dinosaurs and Mikey and Jamie were the drivers…
Then we went to watch the Nemo Show…. this is absolutely spectacular! The Fodors book on Orlando says it is likened to shows on Broadway and that is no lie – it is one of the best shows I have ever seen. The costumes and the music and the lights and the singing is amazing (and of course it is one of my favourite Disney stories..) It was about as good as The Lion King show that we saw at Monte Casino last year (which is apparently world cass theater) We really loved it!
After that, we went on the Kali River Rapids in Asia (right next to the Mount Everest Roller coaster!!!) and got “sulking” wet again! It is similar to Popeye’s Barges at Universals Islands of Adventure (Mikey’s favourite ride) and of course the boys had a blast!
Then we took a tour through the jungle and saw a Camoda Dragon (we thought of you Sam) and tigers and orangutans and bats (the hugest bats you have ever seen – they are sooo creepy and really ugly) and a huge blood python and the biggest pigeon on earth (really the biggest species of pigeon called the Elizabethan pigeon I think as it has feathers like Queen Elizabeth used to wear…)
Next we went to The Lion King show – an extravaganza of dancing, gymnastics, singing and music – I just love the music from The lion king – it is an amazing soundtrack!
We came home early, stopped at Burger King for an early supper and Ryan and the 3 angels are off to River Island to swim for a while (Ryan cannot sit still for a minute!!) And I have had some time to journal and blog and work on my photographs and have a cup of tea in peace! Oh what a wonderful life!
Tonight, Ryan & I are going to Epcot for dinner on our own (I am looking forward to some time alone and I am really excited to go back to Epcot Center again – I really loved it the last time we were there!)
Stay posted and I will let you know all about tomorrow or as soon as I get a gap!!!
PS – I have to tell you about Ryan’s turkey leg – he has been wanting one for a few days and finally decided to get one for lunch. The boys decided they wanted ice creams but then Jamie had a taste of the turkey leg and then Mikey had a taste (he doesn’t even eat chicken drumsticls!!) and that was it – Ryan had lost his turkey leg and the boys were fighting over it… they loved it and had to take turns having “2 bites 2 bites!” It was so cute to watch – the turkey legs are about as big as they are!!!
4th January 2009 – The Magic Kingdom!!!
Aaah – what can I say about Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom…. It truly is magical!!!
It was our best day ever! We got to Disney World at 7am and left at 9pm! We had so much fun – it was amazing! We started off at Splash Mountain and it brought back so many memories from the last time we went with my brothers and mom and dad…. The boys loved it especially once it was over (as they were pretty scared of the big drop at the end…) Then we went to watch The many adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh,
where you roll and bounce and float through the air…. – it was gorgeous! Demi really enjoyed it and was shouting and clapping and pointing all the way through – it was just beautiful to watch… Then it was off to Snow white’s Scary Adventures with the seven dwarfs and the wicked witch, then off to Never-never land with Peter Pan (the boys loved this too – so did Demi), We went on “It’s a small world after all” next and Demi and Florence loved this one too (it’s a musical indoor voyage through the 7 continents) (I think it was a little gentle and slow for the boys (all 3 of them!)
Next we went to Mickey’s PhilharMagic – a wonderful 3D movie with Mickey and Donald and the sorcerer’s hat – it was really funny and the boys were giggling their heads off as Donald lost Mickey’s magical hat and created havoc all over!
Then we went to watch Mickey Mouse in a show in front of Cinderella’s castle – where he was joined by Princess Minnie and all the other princesses Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and of course all their princes too! Donald and Goofy were there too as well as Peter Pan and Wendy and all the pirates… It was such fun and the boys were so excited to see the real Mickey Mouse at last!!
Next we went to Aeriel’s Grotto to meet Princess Aeriel while the boys played in the water fountains and got “sulking wet!!”. Demi loved Ariel – she is such a little girl already and there is such a difference between girls and boys – girls are just so sweet! Right after that, Demi was straight into the water fountains to play with her brothers and got soaking wet too! The fountains shoot out of the ground and she kept sticking her face in front of them looking for the water and it would shoot out right itno hwer face. It took her by surprise but didn’t stop her, she just kept going back again and again – she really loved it! And she really is brave! She really acts like she is 5!!!
Then we were off to Tomorrowland and helped Buzz Lightyear shoot some aliens in Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, we also had to help Captain Gantu when Stitch escaped on the next ride: “Stitch’s Great Escape!!! That was pretty scary when the lights went out and we couldn’t see where Stitch had gone (and gross when he burped on us after his cheese and chillie dog!!)
Then we found Winnie-The-Pooh’s Tree house filled with water fountains and played there for a while. The boys got to play touches with Ryan while Demi & I played on the slide (tough she also wanted to play with her brothers and Ryan ahd to eventually pick her up and chase the boys with her in his arms – she loves to play games!!
Ryan and Florence took the boys on a little roller coaster called: “The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre” while Demi and I went shopping! (we bought Demi the most gorgeous little Minnie Mouse princess dress and Minnie mouse ears – mom you are going to love it! it has polka dots!!! haha) We went on a few more rides (Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress, The monorail ride around Tomorrowland: “Tomorrowland Transit Authority”), watched a few more shows including “Mosnters Inc. Laugh Floor” and then thought we would need to head home. We wanted to stay for the fireworks but we were worried about having Deni out so late as she hadn’t slept in the afternoon. Anyway, we tried to egt her to sleep but she just wouldn’t! But she was happy – guess she was loving Disney World as much as we were… So we decided to stay and see how the children felt and if they got too tired, we would leave…. Not a chance – they loved every minute including little Dems! So we had dinner at Pinocchio and Gepetto’s Haus (Pizzas and Mikey’s Milk) and then made our way to Cindrella’s castle to watch the Parade – SpectroMagic! Magic it was – it was a beautiful and dazzling array of lights fibre optics, music and all the Disney characters … Disney just came alive! Something about the lights and the music in the eveining at the Magic Kingdom just brings out the magic!
After that, it was time for the Fireworks show – “Wishes” (TM) “The biggest, most dazzling fireworks spectactular ever to grace The Magic Kingdom skies!” This show is just breathtaking and words don’t do it justice – my children were enthralled and mesmerised. It brought tears to my eyes to watch them watching the show with such joy and enthusiasm and again, I was filled with so much gratitude – for my family,
for being able to be here and watch the joy on their little faces – that is so rewarding for me!!!
I finally felt like we were on holiday in Orlando, USA – no should I say Disney World! Our dream of bringing our children to Disney World and watching the joy on their faces has finally come true! What a wonderful feeling and now what a wonderful memory!
“The shoot was so much fun thanks to Louise and Riani who managed to get smiles from everyone including a very tetchy 10 month old and a sulky 6 year old!
We had so many beautiful photos, it was impossible to choose –we ended up getting all of them!”
- Ify & Keith Mukami
