the whole family (which in my case is photographing a group of 12 people) and then I had lists and lists of thought out poses which I wanted to try out on these two willing ”models”. I saw the picture of the dress on the internet and immediately showed it to my sister. One look and she
was sold and so my mother set out to make this gorgeous matric dance dress. Try and picture this, a crowd of people, three 4×4’s parked in the veld and studio flashes in the veld across from a dam… We had tons of fun and my sis just adores her matric farewell pics. Roedean School for Girls (SA) contacted us to take some commercial photographs of the school. The brief was” Inspiring a life of significance” As you can see all the girls in the photos are silhouetted giving the photos the feel that it could be any girl in the world attending this heritage-filled school.
We thoroughly enjoyed the this new challenge to be very creative within a school environment and would reccomend commercial photography to anyone out there. Then there was also the element of working together closely with some of the pupils and teachers of the school and I would
like to thank the science teachers and the Nicky down at St Margaret’s (GR1) for all their effort in helping us out with everything from blue chemicals in test tubes to getting the “littlies” to hang upside down on the monkey bars. As commercial photographers we love the challenge of
following every brief to the tee (and then add a little bit of creative flair) so that we can provide the client with an excellent product at the end of the day.
We did a photoshoot for a big corporate client called CFT labels last week. They print self-adhesive labels and that is exactly what we went to photograph in stores in big shopping centres in JHB. They supply labels to a wide variety of clients including ALL-JOY foods, Revlon and Almay.
When doing a commercial photoshoot it is really important to get a clear brief from your client as to what exactly they are looking to use the photos for? Do they want the photos done professionaly in studio or do they want their product photographed in stores and plan your lighting accordingly. Ideally you would want someone from the corporate company with you while photographing so that you can shoot that winning shot that they have in mind…
Everywhere you look in nature you will find balance… Whenever you are going through a hardship you must know that it has to get worse before it’ll get better. How else would we grow? Good and Bad things happen and in the end it all comes down to how you take it in your stride. Remember to be grateful for every second you live and every blessing God bestowes upon you and your loved ones!
The Boudoir photoshoot was done very professionally. Riani’s calm and content personality makes you feel relaxed and confident with her ongoing compliments. Music was playing in the background which lets the energy flow as you start to relax and wonder into the beauty of your soul.
She gives easy guidance to poses, outfits and lighting to create the best masterpiece of every photo she takes. The studio itself was very private and stunning. It was a very fun photoshoot which I didn’t want to end. You are guaranteed leaving with more confidence. The end product is gorgeous, classy photos with very natural editing and a warm ambient feel.
Ladies, give yourself the gift of releasing your inner goddess – to use your photos as a Valentine’s gift is only an added bonus!
