Going to your matrci dance means a whole year of preparation.  You start looking for that perfect matric dance dres months before the actual dance, looking everywhere from the google to the back of the “Huisgenoot”   And then finally your eyes settle upon the most beautiful dress

you’ve ever seen!  Decide on the colour you would like your matric farewell dress to be and then off to the dressmaker, to buy material, get measurements taken etc etc etc.  Now to get prince charming to ask you to the dance is a whole other story.  In the end you just need to get your

 gorgeous silver heels out and select a hairstyle suited to a princess and off you go!  Professional matric dance photos are really the most awesome way to start off a rocking night like this!!!  It makes you feel like the superstar you know you are.  One last thing is that when you

Each and every kid is driven by something they don’t even understand yet…  It is called curiosity   This urge is the thing which makes them learn more and more of the world around them in an effortless way.  So use this to your advantage when photographing kids.  Tell there is a birdie (any kind of animal they like) in the lens of the camera and they should try and see it.  Another great photography tip is to ask them to pull funny face at the camera and then show it to them on the screen.  This usually gets them going.  Anything fun and interesting makes kids want to participate so keep your shoot just that…!

of fun with our Real Life Studio photographers this morning.  All in all there were 9 of them with two being 3 yrs old.  You can just imagine   We capture every moment of laughter and sibling rivalry in such a way that you can treasure your professional family photos for years to come.

Walking up to The Venue in Melrose Arch you see a red carpet laid out leading you into the majestic entrance…  Your head keeps moving every which way because THE Venue is very aptly named.  The designs and lighting are absolutely magnificent!  The next thing you see after the red

carpet is a big “mesh-like” dome which is lit from the inside and this is only the beginning.  The Venue at Melrose Arch has an upstairs lounge and downstairs hall complete with a stage set-up.  What more can you want…?    So the scene is set in black and white tables and chairs with

candles and lovely flowers aon the tables.  Now the man of the moment arrives in his new (stunning)  Bentley.  “L”, “V” and their gorgeous kids are

dressed to the nines and ready for the party of the century.  Being a Portuguese family the function only starts 30 min later (or more) than

planned… (but they say good things come to those who wait)  “L”s two boys made the most precious speech to their dad (and considering that
they are like roundabout 5 and 8 it was a magical moment)  Father G who married “L” & “V” as well as christened both their boys said a few

precious words which I am sure no one will forget any time soon…  L and the boys went backstage to meet Jesse Clegg, get their cd’s signed

and get their photos taken with him.  And then it was time for Jesse Clegg to get everybody up and moving their bodies!  Let me tell you Jesse

Clegg is an awesome live performer.  It is amazing to see, when he is speaking over the mike he gets very shy but the moment the music plays and he starts singing it all goes away.  He submerses himself in the music.  I get Goosebumps just thinking about hearing Jesse Clegg singing

acoustic songs…  What an unforgettable night!

Ahh, what can I say about this couple…?  “G” is just so in love with “M”, you can even see it in the way he looks at her   Pregnancy photography always brings out a very sentimental side of me because these photoshoots mark the beginning of a new chapter in a couples lives which is just

so full of promise.  I cant really explain it but there is just something amazing about pregnant women.  They radiate this calm serenity in which they wait patiently for their newborn child   Very poetic I know (told you I can’t explain…)

M is so excited about this little baby and what I absolutely adored is the way he loved participating in the pregnancy photos.  I always think having pregnancy photos taken is one of the places where you can really get dad involved.  This is one of the times where they can actually play a big role (concerning the baby)  This man looks absolutely content, just the way it should be…
