It is hard to describe just how hard we had to work to get this baby boy to smile, we did anything and everything we possibly could and we only managed three smiles from him. So thi is an absolutely treasured photo of him.
I believe that babies don’t have to always smile to capture a beautiful picture. It’s almost like they have a certain amount of smiles per day, and if they have already smiled all of them you are out of luck. The truth of the matter is that all babies are beautiful, and this is what we aim to capture. Everything from the more serious faces (as seen below:)

right down to the really curious expressions which only little babies can portray. Cute baby pictures are all about getting the perfect shot of a specific moment (yes, this might sound cliche to you but it works. ) I have found that making eye contact with your subject, smiling and cooing at them will most likely get them to smile at you. So sometimes you just have to compose the shot and focus and then come out from behind your big fancy camera and interact with your client (regardless of their age) and hope you have steady hands. Good luck!!!

Take a guess what I did this past weekend… ?! I had the absolute privilege of photographing Tracy and David’s wedding at Thaba Ya Batswana
Being a woman and knowing the dynamics of love and relationships just adds to the magic which every wedding has. Let me tell you a little secret, I have been a wedding photographer for more than 3 years now and I still get goosebumps the moment the Wedding march starts playing and the chapel doors swings open to reveal the radiant bride…

The thing which I love the most about wedding photography at Thaba Ya Batswana is that the photo possibilities are just endless. Ranging from beautiful architecture to open fields with long grass…
It’s like heaven to any photographer. One of the client requests was to please get a lot of nice photos of the kids before hand (While their clothing is still clean…
) and they are refreshed. This photos of Calista (3) just melts my heart. She was a little bit shy in the beginning of the wedding day but soon warmed up to the camera and ended up whispering in my ear that she really likes me

When planning your wedding don’t hesitate to ask your photographer to recommend the perfect time to get married so that you will get beautifully soft light for your wedding photos. Remember these are going to last you a lifetime so make sure you get this right. And Finally just let go and anjoy the day.
You have been planning this perfect day for such a long time that I surely believe that now is the time to enjoy the wedding. I always say that you have to remember the only thing that matters on your special day is that you get married to the one you love (and you get gorgeous photos) but your wedding photographer will expertly sort that out for you!

Today I went and purchased my first car…
You might say that I have already had two cars, but this is the first one where I did absolutely everything myself. Went out and found it, took it for a test dive on my own (and then obviously had to get brother and dad to check it out), got all the paperwork in order, and paid the deposit. Man what a feeling, and it’s goign to be on my own name, insurance and all!!!
I am really grateful to each and every person who helped me through this month long process, all the advice (and telling me what not to buy) I really and truly do appreciate everyone’s input
This is a big step for me and I am so happy to finally have a car of my own which is beautiful enough to be photographed and added into my portfolio without people asking me what kind of car it is.
So watch this space for some amazing car photography by a car photographer in Johannesburg!!!

So, you think you want to be a professional model and someday even surpass famous names like Heidi Klum and the likes…? The first thing you would need to acquire is a photographic portfolio done by a modelling portfolio photographer. We have been in the trade for a while and know what to look for. We are specifically trained to help you achieve the perfect look you have in mind.

The modelling portfolio will be your one most valuable asset you would use to show your client who you are, what you look like and what you are all about… Let’s face it, the fashion and modelling world is all about having the “right look”. For instance, have you eve looked through a magazine and noticed how beautiful a woman looks (with some new brand of mascara on) Immediately you think to yourself, I should try some of this mascara and maybe I will be just as beautiful. Yes, even I can say I have. Now take a good look at this model, she is really pretty isn’t she? So having a modelling portfolio allows your “employer to be” to decide if you have the right to show off his/her latest designs and fashions…

So finding the perfect model fashion photographer is truly important. We understand that you will need different photos to bring forward your best features. Some really close up shots to accentuate those beautiful eyes (even if they are wearing that awesome mascara which we mentioned earlier), and some more full body shots which will showcase your length and great legs. Let us do all the hard wotk for you…

Toddler Photos

If this little face doesn’t just make you want to smile I don’t know what will…
We are roundabout 7-8 months old and really just love the world and everything in it. Ok, I confess I am going through a mommy-only stage right now and I absolutely adore spending time with her. I will smile (and drool) and even laugh right from my tummy just at the sight of my mommy. These are the beautiful stages which we aim to capture at our Real Life Studio.

We are humans and we enjoy to laugh together and share in each other’s company. I love the way you can see exactly just how much mom loves this little angel
There is just something special about the bond that a mom and daughter share, I can’t even think of words to describe it. I believe to capture the personality of babies and toddlers you need to understand them and the things which they value. For instance, toddler’s just love to think that they can stand behind a 5cm pole and that you cannot see them… And in the same way a baby gets a lot of joy to see their mom’s face each and every time she hides behind something and jumps out to surprise you.
If you are looking for photos which capture that little something extra to let your personality shine through, look no further. For more information contact us on info@louisedieselphotography.co.za or give us a call on 011 869 7759

Just look at this beautiful face
This is one out of four photos little”M” would allow us to take whilst lying on her tummy and then she just didn’t think we’re funny anymore. You know that little head is really heavy and it’s like a workout to keep it up… But I think we nailed it
If I have to use one word to desribe the photos of this baby I would say “smiley”. I just had to move closer to her to get the most beautiful smiles.
She looks exactly like her dad actually… In all of my years of being a baby photographer in Jhb I have found that most little babies look just like their dad’s for the first month or two and only then do you start seeing traces of mommy. (This might be nature’s way of ensuring that every new daddy falls in love with their little one the moment they lay their eyes upon their little angel) And do you know what her daddy asked me? “I want a photo to put into my wallet…” Isn’t that just beautiful?!
I always say that I’ve got the absolute best job in the world, I get to meet and socialize with all the new babies (if you haven’t noticed I go gaga over every single baby) To me they represent pure potential. Who will they grow up to be like and what will they love to do? So many questions that only time can answer…
