Cheap Wedding Photography Doesn’t Guarantee Results

When celebrating our wedding, we do want to get the most value for our money when choosing photography services to record the event. While we do want to cut down on costs, cheap wedding photography may not be cheap at all.

cheap wedding photographyThis is because we might find ourselves with bad quality pictures which can make reliving or reminiscing about what is supposed to be a joyous moment in our lives a painful one instead. Bad angles, blurred exposures, bad lighting, moments you would have wanted captured but weren’t, are just some of the pitfalls of getting cheap wedding photography services.

One thing to bear in mind when comparing the prices wedding photography  is that we should be getting not only reasonably priced, but also a service that we know we will get value for our money. For instance, while one photography service may be priced lower, another which may just be a few Rands higher may offer you more finished products than the other.

Another reason why some cheap wedding photography services may be priced lower is that their photographers may lack experience.

You will definitely be getting more value for your money when you cough out a little more money for one who knows what they are doing rather than be stuck paying (albeit at a lower price) for a bunch of pictures you might not like at all.

A way to avoid this disaster is to ask for samples from the photographer whose price range you find attractive. This way you can gauge whether the photographer’s level of expertise is adequate for your taste and what you expect from the price you are paying him or her.

The key to getting reasonably priced wedding photography is negotiation. Many wedding photographers offer their services in packages. Have a look at the wedding packages they are offering and look at the things you can do without. Ask the photographer if he or she is willing to knock a few Rands off the price of his or her services if you do away with some items you do not want or need in the package he or she is offering.
